I don't think I ever recall this happening before. After Ellie Scotney's dominant points win over Laura Soledad Griffa to defend her IBF super-bantamweight title earlier tonight, trainer Shane McGuigan had to shoot off.

McGuigan darted across to London as he is working the corner of Briton Caroline Dubois who is headlining at York Hall later on Saturday evening.

An hour journey in a car, I think. Wonder if he took the Tube.

Earlier tonight, Ellie Scotney made easy work of Laura Soledad Griffa to retain the IBF super-bantamweight belt.

It was as comprehensive as it gets with the judges scoring it 100-90, 100-91 and 99-91.

The Londoner, who beat Cherneka Johnson to win the title in June, moves to 7-0.

Scotney managed the range perfectly throughout, picking off her Argentinean challenger as she stepped forward.

We're already well under way with tonight's card, actually we're pretty close to the end.

The chief support is just about to start with Cheavon Clarke facing Vasil Ducar for the IBF International cruiserweight title.

Good evening and welcome to Wembley’s OVO Arena for a spot of world championship boxing.

This intriguing contest has gone under the radar. Few sports fans have heard of either the champion or challenger in the main event.

Australia’s Jai Opetaia - unbeaten in 22 bouts - is considered by many as the most talented cruiserweight in the world. But with just one fight in the last 15 months, and having not fought outside of his homeland in six years, there are numerous question marks.

Mancunian Jordan Thompson really is an unknown quantity. The former tennis prospect turned boxer has won all 15 pro bouts. He looks every part of an elite athlete, but never been tested at the top level.

Could we have another British world champion crowned tonight?

As it stands, after Ellie Scotney's unanimous decision win against Laura Soledad Griffa to retain her IBF super-bantamweight title earlier this evening, we've got 11 Brits holding world titles and Jordan Thompson is looking to add his name to that illustrious list.

Standing in his way at OVO Arena, Wembley is IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia.

The Australian is makes the first defence of his belt in London.

How will this one play out? We'll soon find out!
