This is still a fight that is poised.

  2. Round sevenpublished at 23:36 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

Zhang comes out more aggressive and it's about time!

He throws out a right and it lands as Parker is caught in the corner and unable to escape.

Parker responds with a one-two to head and body.

Zhang is trying to use his size advantage a little more now as he leans on Parker. He's boxing a little smarter now.

    Enjoyable boxing. Horrible atmosphere.

I would put my house on Joseph Parker knocking Zhang out in the later rounds.

  5. Round sixpublished at 23:31 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

Parker is using a good variety of shots when he attacks, aiming to the body and then following up to the head.

Zhang looks laboured when he does throw and Parker is too quick as he ducks and steps away.

Still yet to burst into life and I think we are set for this tempo for the remainder.

Zhang has slowed down a lot faster than I thought he would. Maybe it's the extra weight he's carrying.

  7. Round fivepublished at 23:27 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

Zhang is just a standing target at the moment.

This fight is so slow at times and then all of a sudden Parker is attacks.

Zhang might be just waiting for that one moment to throw in the hope of using his incredible power but, for now, Parker is doing enough to edge these rounds.

I think that knockdown has really made Joseph Parker move slowly.

Parker did manage to back Zhang up a little bit and he managed to let his hands go.

When you let your hands go against Zhang, he doesn't let his go.

  10. Round fourpublished at 23:23 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

Parker looks bloodied around the nose but he's having the success in this round.

He's really purposefully picking his shots and lands a nice right to the side of Zhang's head.

Now he goes to the body and the referee calls a halt to the fight as a shot strays a little low for his liking. No points deducted but a warning.

It was perfectly timed by Zhang and it hurt Parker.

Vargas v Bell ends in split decision draw

    Thumbs up graphic

Our ringside reporter Kal Sajad felt a draw was a fair result in the previous fight between Rey Vargas and Nick Ball.

I was leaning more towards Ball and it seems you felt the Liverpudlian had done enough too.

You can read Kal's full report here.

    Zhang v Parker

That straight left that caused the knockdown looked like it was thrown in slow motion.

There wasn't a huge amount of power behind it but it landed clean and seemed to catch Parker on his heels.

Parker was straight up and looked OK at the end of the round.

There is the power, the big bang from the big man Zhang.

  15. Round three - knockdownpublished at 23:17 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

Lots of feints from Parker as he tries to find the safest route to close the distance.

    Parker is down!

    Straight left from Zhang lands.

Parker might not have won that round but he didn't necessarily lose it. There has to be a moment where he takes a risk.

  17. Round twopublished at 23:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

It has picked up a little in this round as Parker looks to avoid being forced back on to ropes.

He catches Zhang with a right hook but that backs off.

    Zhang stays patient.

Zhang is so much faster than anyone gives him credit for.

  20. Round onepublished at 23:10 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Zhang v Parker

After the high intensity of that last bout between Rey Vargas and Nick Ball, the pace here is much slower.

Zhang is a giant of a man!

He takes the centre of the ring and is trying to feel Parker out. There's very little output from either fighter, but Zhang does land with a left as Parker is backed into the corner.

Cagey is the best way to describe that.
