Well, that was an action-packed two hours!

Thank you for joining us as F1 sets the stage for what, I am sure, will be an exciting season, while celebrating 75 years of the sport.

There is not long to go until the official racing begins in March.

We will be back for pre-season testing on 26 February, from 07:00 GMT.

    See you then, take care!

  2. Walk of legends - 75 years of F1published at 22:18 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

Move aside Hollywood walk of fame, it's F1's turn.

The O2 Arena backstage was decked out with images of world champions. It's a nice reminder of everything we have witnessed over the last 75 years.

George Russell says he has "no intention" of speaking to Max Verstappen to clear the air following their row at the end of last season.

Their dispute blew up when Verstappen was penalised for impeding Russell at the Qatar Grand Prix - and the Dutchman said he had "lost all respect" for his rival.

But Briton Russell hit back, suggesting the Red Bull driver "cannot deal with adversity".

Russell said at the F1 75 event at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday that he and Verstappen "hadn't spoken" over the winter.

"I've got no intentions [to], to be honest," the Mercedes driver said in an interview with BBC Sport.

"That happened last year. I want to focus on myself. Things got out of line last year. That was then. We are not going to go back to being best mates, that's for sure."

  4. Drivers forced to make at least two stops in Monacopublished at 22:13 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

Formula 1 is to try to spice up the Monaco Grand Prix by forcing drivers to make at least two pit stops.

Criticism has been growing in recent years that the historic race has become pedestrian, because overtaking is close to impossible on the tight street circuit in the Mediterranean principality.

Bosses agreed on Tuesday to "increase the numbers of mandatory pit stops in the race", according to a statement from governing body the FIA.

The FIA said the plan would be "further discussed" at F1's sporting advisory committee.

But insiders have told BBC Sport the plan is for drivers to have to do two pit stops and use all three available tyre compounds during the Monaco race.

  5. Driving test week 'hell' for F1 rookie Antonellipublished at 22:11 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

Antonelli was 'really nervous' ahead of driving test

Andrea Kimi Antonelli says he had a week "like hell" in the build-up to his debut season in Formula 1 - but not because of the pressure of replacing Lewis Hamilton.

The 18-year-old rookie passed his driving test in January, six weeks before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

While there were no major scares for Antonelli, he did make "one little mistake" on his theory test. "But I had three allowed, so it was fine," the Italian told BBC Sport.

Antonelli is George Russell's new team-mate at Mercedes, after seven-time world champion Hamilton left to join Ferrari on a multi-year deal.

  6. 'I can't wait' - Norrispublished at 22:08 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

Lando Norris said to the home crowd: "Anything in front of the British fans is amazing so a pleasure to be here.

"The whole team are excited after last year, we want to start off on the right foot so it's all of our job, there's a lot of hard work from the guys and girls back in the factory, so today it starts.

"It's good to get on the car, a lot of work has been done on the car, not everything that you see on the outside has maybe changed that much but a lot of stuff on the inside. I'm excited and I can't wait."

McLaren CEO Zak Brown signed off the evening's event by saying, "we never stop racing, let's go!"

  7. When do we see them in action?published at 22:06 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

If like me, you feel like the winter break has lasted far too long, you’ll be very happy to know we get our first glimpse of all 10 teams in the pre-season testing next week.

Testing takes place from 26-28 February at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Teams have just three days to get to grips with their set-ups before the season officially kicks off two weeks later in Melbourne.

  8. Postpublished at 22:05 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

All 20 drivers and 10 cars line up in a mock-up of the grid, the drivers are waving to the fans in the arena.

That's the very first time we have seen something like this! They've all seen each other's liveries at the same time.

  9. Postpublished at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

Just a reminder, we did not see all the actual cars tonight, just the designs!

But when do we see them in action? I shall tell you, my friends.

  10. Postpublished at 21:58 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

As Take That sing "all the stars are coming out", the screen behind them shows all the races we have to look forward to this season.

    All 24 of them.

I won't embarrass myself and sing (type?) along to Take That.

They do have some bangers though!

Props to Jack Whitehall tonight - he’s been a great host for the event. His final joke of the evening is directed at the now three members of Take That, down from the original five, being “more aerodynamic”.

  13. 'I feel so full of life' - Hamiltonpublished at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

It is the first time seeing seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in red at a public event. He said on stage: "The word I am thinking of is invigorated because I feel so full of life and so much energy because everything is new and I'm just focused on what is up ahead.

"I'm so proud to be part of the team, something new and exciting for me."

  14. Time for Take Thatpublished at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

It's time for the last performance of the evening, Take That!

I saw a clip earlier today from an F1 podcast where poor Esteban Ocon looked so confused when he was asked if he’s a Take That fan.

“Who’s that? Sorry,” he said. At least he was very polite about it!

  15. McLaren 'excited' for 2025published at 21:50 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

"I am very excited," Lando Norris says, can he be our next world champion?

"Super excited for the season to start," adds Oscar Piastri.

The constructors’ champions are the finale of this F1 75 live show. McLaren’s past is lined up on stage - iconic, title-winning cars, driven by the greats, that every fan will recognise.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are two popular chaps. The crowd is very happy to see the papaya drivers in person.

McLaren boss Zak Brown was like a proud dad watching Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri take questions from the media earlier.

The team are being hunted by the rest of the pack in 2025, following their first constructors’ title win since 1998 last year. Norris said while there are more eyes on McLaren now, they “still want to feel like underdogs”.

It was Norris’ first run at the drivers’ championship in 2024 - he finished second to four-time world champion winner Max Verstappen - and the intensity of a title battle is something he will welcome once again.

“A lot of people think pressure is a bad thing but for me, it’s really the opposite,” said the Briton. “I think it’s a good thing. I still get nervous, I still feel pressure but I say my best performances have often come when it is around.”

For Oscar Piastri, his focus this year, if he wants to go wheel-to-wheel with Norris and Verstappen, will be on improving his Saturday performance. “Qualifying a bit better is probably high priority,” said the Australian.
