Latvia coach Paolo Nicolato does not agree with England coach Thomas Tuchel's assessment that they will be "underdogs" if they qualify for the World Cup.

He told BBC Sport: "England will 100% be among the favourites. They are a big team with a coach with big experience.

"They have a lot of history and a lot of good players. They could put five international teams on the pitch with the players they have. They also have the best league in the world at this moment."

Attended a very interesting media briefing with Latvia coach Paolo Nicolato, where he admitted his side need to be more streetwise after only drawing 2-2 with Andorra here on Saturday.

He said: "We are very nice guys but sometimes we need to be bad guys."

Nicolato was at pains to point out this did not mean dark arts or over-physicality, saying: "Sometimes in some situations we react a little bit late because this is a different level. In their leagues, our players have time to think, but against England you have to think before you even get the ball.

"Sometimes it is like another sport playing against these teams."

We'll find out in a bit if there's any more team news.

We already know striker Ollie Watkins will miss out tomorrow.

The 29-year-old has returned to Aston Villa after colliding with a post in the 3-0 win over Wales.

Jordan Pickford has not conceded a goal for England in over a year now.

In Thursday's 3-0 friendly win over Wales he broke Gordon Banks' record with his eighth consecutive clean sheet for England.

The 31-year-old Everton goalkeeper last conceded for his country in a 2-1 Nations League defeat by Greece last October.

Since then he has faced nine shots on target, keeping out Serbia, Andorra (twice), Latvia, Albania, the Republic of Ireland, Greece and Wales.

In the past year England conceded in both games he was an unused substitute - against Finland and Senegal.

The reason for this is because England are away to Latvia tomorrow and a victory will guarantee the Three Lions a place in next summer's World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
