Goal - Stephen Dornan (London)published at 14:07 British Summer Time 9 June 2024

    Antrim 0-0 London 1-0

Antrim on the front foot early but a couple of efforts are passed up. No such issue for London as a good move through the hands results in Mick Byrne saving from Ruairi Rafferty, but Stephen Dornan nets the rebound.

  2. Underway at Corrigan Parkpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 9 June 2024

    Antrim 0-0 London 0-0

Referee Conor Dourneen has thrown the ball in and we are off at Corrigan Park.

Steady light rain in Belfast all day has translated into a greasy ball and slippery surface, so let's see if that becomes a factor over the next 70-plus minutes.

  3. Saffrons should not underestimate Exilespublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 9 June 2024

Antrim v London, Corrigan Park, 14:00 BST

Ultimately last weekend's draw at Breffni Park cost Antrim top spot in Group Two as Sligo's considerably superior score difference separated them.

Andy McEntee will surely have been ramming home to his players the folly of underestimating the Exiles today.

London hammered three-times All-Ireland champions Offaly 2-20 to 0-12 in the Group Four opener opener which proved enough to progress to this afternoon's preliminary quarter-final despite subsequent 17 and 10-point defeats by Down and Limerick.

If Antrim come out with a casual display, London could give them a lot of trouble as they indicated when clinching their first championship win in 11 years in the Tullamore contest.

  4. Team newspublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 9 June 2024

Antrim v London, Corrigan Park, 14:00 BST

The last of the weekend's Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter-finals is set to throw-in at a damp Corrigan Park at 2pm with Antrim and London bidding to be in the hat for Monday's quarter-final draw.

Andy McEntee's Saffrons fell agonisingly short of bypassing this stage of the competition as last Sunday's draw against Sligo meant it was the Yeatsmen who topped Group Two and went the direct route into the last eight.

Still, the Antrim manager has kept faith with the team that started last week as there are no changes to the 15 with the in-form Ryan McQuillan continuing to lead the attack.

One notable addition to the substitute bench is Peter Healy. The Naomh Éanna clubman hobbled out of last year's Tailteann Cup semi-final against Meath in Croke Park and has not featured for club or county since, but the experienced defender's availability is a boost for the Saffrons.

London have reached this stage thanks to an impressive opening round victory over Offaly and although they would lose subsequent games against Down and Limerick, they had done enough to land one of the third-place berths available.

The Exiles have also a look of familiarity about them with manager Michael Maher initially making just one change to the 15 that fell to Limerick as Liam Gallagher was named in place of Ruairi Rafferty, but in a late switch, that has been reversed with Rafferty starting.
