Investigation over. Carry on with your qualifying, Liam. The Red Bull driver is stuck in the drop zone, however, and desperate to avoid another Q1 knockout.

Max Verstappen is quickest, Oscar Piastri is second and Kimi Antonelli is third. Lando Norris is in seventh and Charles Leclerc is all the way down in P13.

Teenager Kimi Antonelli waves good by to the elimination zone and plonks his Mercedes ahead of the Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton in third spot. Liam Lawson is under investigatio for failing to slow under the yellow flags for Jack Doohan's spin.

The order right now is very jumbled, I think we will find some kind of stability come the end of Q1.

It's so difficult to pick that braking point when you're on the limit after that long straight, it's so challenging to get it right and not snatch that inside front.

Carlos Sainz hasn't looked that comfortable this weekend. The [Williams] car looks ok, it looks a little bit unresponsive from the front end.

The track will ramp up throughout this session, I expect the times to get quicker and quicker.

  18. Spin for Doohanpublished at 07:06 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March

Jack Doohan had a moment with Gabriel Bortoleto at the end of the sprint which resulted in a 10-second time penalty and two penalty points on his licence - ouch. The Australian takes a spin in the Alpine but gets himself out of the gravel and back on track.

Lando Norris goes quickest, but that's scrubbed by man-of-the-moment Lewis Hamilton.
