  3. 'It's no consolation'published at 16:26 British Summer Time 28 April

FT: Donegal 0-18 Tyrone 0-16 (AET)

Niall Morgan, Tyrone goalkeeper and Man of the Match: "It's no consolation. It's tough to get an award and not feel like you deserve it. We're very disappointed. We battled hard but the score at the final whistle is what matters. Fair play to Donegal.

"It's hard to pin-point as to exactly where it went wrong. Donegal are a good team, so to do what we done in the first half is something to be proud of but we'll have to look back at where it all went wrong. We're all making mistakes, so it's about learning from that. It's a learning process and you're always trying to evolve and get better."

Tyrone absolutely threw everything at us and there time to win it was in the 70 minutes.

They will look back on having a one-point lead in added time and they just needed to hold on to the ball.

Donegal's energy coming off normal time was brought into extra-time and they ran away with it.

  5. 'This is why we love the Ulster Championship'published at 16:18 British Summer Time 28 April

FT: Donegal 0-18 Tyrone 0-16 (AET)

Jim McGuinness, Donegal manager: "We had to battle hard. Tyrone came with a very clear game plan and they made us work hard for it. There was a lot of soul searching to be done at half time. The longer the game went on the more we were able to wrestle control, and we had some very good, composed play.

"This is why we love the Ulster Championship, it's so competitive and every team that enters it believes they can win it. That was a huge battle today. We'll enjoy it today and then our attentions will then turn to Armagh, because that will be a very tough battle as well."

Donegal were the fresher side throughout extra time.

McBrearty was brought back on for a reason and he split the posts to put Donegal ahead by two for the only time in the game right at the death.

Tyrone led for most of the game and were a spent force in extra time but they left everything on the field. They can be proud of their efforts.

But Jim McGuinness' superb record in the Ulster Championship continues. He's now won 15 out of 16 matches in two spells in charge.
