If you don't go fast enough the car will turn in earlier than if you were going a bit quicker.

If you turn in too early you hit the barrier, so it's an odd thing but you have to be pushing the car so that it slides and then just drifts and then just gets past the barrier.

Liam Lawson has been quite competitive but Isack Hadjar has just done an amazing job.

It's very easy to get your head down after a mistake and feel intimidated by this circuit, but Hadjar fought back and he's had a fantastic performance to put it up in the top 10.

  15. 'I'll try my best' - Bearmanpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time

Rosanna Tennant speaking to Oliver Bearman, who starts tomorrow's race from the back of the grid: "The two-stop will make life interesting at least for me starting from last. I think there's some chances tomorrow, so I'll try my best."

On tyre strategy: "On one lap the soft is quite similar to the medium, the medium can do more laps because it overheats a bit less, the soft ultimately provides slightly more grip. It's an interesting dynamic. I honestly would have liked more mediums, but we don't have enough to fully understand how they perform. But both are similar, which makes things interesting for the weekend."

  16. Tsunoda unhappypublished at 15:59 British Summer Time

Yep, he probably is cursing his luck, Damon. Carlos Sainz exits stage left as Williams team-mate Alex Albon rubs shoulders with the two McLarens and Charles Leclerc. Lando Norris was quickest in Q2, 0.011 seconds ahead of the Ferrari of Leclerc.

Sainz said he no "no grip" on what was actually the soft tyre.

Yuki Tsunoda's team radio is a downcast one. The Japanese driver is unhappy with Red Bull's strategy in that session.

Both Racing Bulls cars, meanwhile, are through to the pole shootout.

That would have been a very useful lap for Max Verstappen to feel the tyres and the grip of the track and get himself settled down for the final qualifying run.
