    We have to remember that George Russell started on not a new set of medium tyres, they were fresh, not done too many laps but most of the people around him did opt to start on a new set or had a new set of mediums readily available.

  4. Oscar Piastri looks to be catching up to George Russell in third before a snap of oversteer for the McLaren driver sees the gap between them back up to just over one second.

  5. Yuki Tsunoda continues to go backwards as now Zhou Guanyu picks him off. Tsunoda is down to 13th having also been passed by Peirre Gasly and Fernando Alonso recently.

    Lewis Hamilton is in a battle with Sergio Perez right now, he can't get past the Red Bull and has remained within half a second. That five-second penalty will set him back even further.

    Coming into this race we thought it was a one-stop, the medium should last between 18-25 laps but perhaps they can go further into the race.

    There was a risk that the one-stop would be a little bit marginal, a little bit risky, but that jeopardy has now been thrown out of the window because of that safety car. I'm sure it's going to be a one-stop now.

  9. Great move by Fernando Alonso as he powers around the outside of Yuki Tsunoda at Turn 14 and he is into 11th and looking to climb into the top 10.

  10. Lando Norris sets a new fastest lap of the race and the gap between himself and Max Verstappen has dropped slightly to 1.8s.

  11. Lewis Hamilton is looking regain some places after his messy start. He's eighth but seven tenths of a second behind Sergio Perez.

    Kevin Magnussen has just got ahead of Yuki Tsunoda, that's good news for Haas continuing to extend their hold over sixth place in the constructors' championship.
