The McLaren heads down the pit lane and exits ahead of the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz in P7. Lando Norris has to pull up his socks and mentally prepare himself for another scrap with title rival Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen also wants a change of rubber and is swapped over to those medium tyres. The Dutchman rejoins in seventh, with Carlos Sainz on the opposition compound, the hards, in P8.
Lando Norris needs is running in third but McLaren yell "box, box" to the Briton.

This is looking good, McLaren tell Oscar Piastri on the team radio. The Australian has made one stop but is clocking up the fastest laps with a 1:47.024.
"Clear air is king," says the McLaren driver.
Carlos Sainz is coming in to pit, lifting Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc up the order.

Mercedes are ready for Lewis Hamilton to head in to pit. The stop is a second faster than Ferrari and the seven-time world champion rejoins the action on the hards ahead of Charles Leclerc.
Oscar Piastri now leads, George Russell is second and Max Verstappen is third.

Max Verstappen and Lando Norris reach the Kemmel straight and luckily for the sea of orange shirts in the crowd, the McLaren isn't close enough to make a move.
Yuki Tsunoda is at the Le Combes-chicane and is trying to challenge Logan Sargeant for 17th place.

That pit stop for Sergio Perez has given us a Max Verstappen-Lando Norris track battle. The McLaren is on the rear wing of the Red Bull in the hunt for fifth place.
Lewis Hamilton's lead out in front, meanwhile, holds a two-second gap over the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.

Lewis Hamilton retakes the lead of the Belgian Grand Prix as Carlos Sainz waves goodbye to his hard tyres.
George Russell is making waves in his Mercedes and a gap opens up for the Silver Arrow to dart through on Sergio Perez. Russell is up to fourth, Perez is in fifth - and now team-mate Max Verstappen is right behind him.
But Perez is called into the pits and the Dutchman takes fifth spot.

There is only one Sauber in this race now and Valtteri Bottas is carrying the torch. The Finn overtakes the Haas of Nico Hulkenberg for P14.
Lando Norris has clocked the fastest lap of the grand prix in the McLaren but the Briton is still down in eighth place following the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.

Carlos Sainz's hard tyres are 18-laps old now compared to the drivers behind him, so Ferrari are on the blower to suggest "Plan B for medium" might be the way forward.
