Tipperary manager Liam Cahill speaking on the GAA Social: "I don't know how to describe it, I am immensely proud of the group of players and everyone involved in the set-up."

"I always believed in these lads. We got hit with a sucker punch before half-time but I could see the belief in their eyes and we were still were we wanted to be at half-time and we still needed to be brave on the ball and stick to the game plan which we did, we started well in the second half and went from there."

On Darragh McCarthy's performance: "It's incredible, everything to do with pressure cooker environments is in his DNA, I'm so happy he performed. My daughter says she is going to move out and let Darragh McCarthy move in because he is all I talk about him!"
