    Heartbreak for Slaughtneil at the semi-final stage once more and that one is sure to sting for a few months yet.

    But it has been a remarkable year as they clinched the Ulster title for only the 5th time in their history and maybe more importantly blooded a few young talents and the age profile of this current squad suggests that they are not going away any time soon.

    Today also brings an end to the GAA action for 2024 and what a year it has been.

    Thankfully we don't have long to wait until the 2025 action starts and we'll hope for more Ulster success.

    But for Slaughtneil today, it just wasn't to be.
