It has been another year of non-stop global sport and major events with incredible achievements, memorable moments and huge talking points.

Packed into the last 12 months we have had the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris, the men's European Championships and the men's and women's T20 World Cups, plus all the competitions that bring us so many brilliant moments year on year.

With so much going on, choosing who should receive your vote for Sports Personality of the Year is a tricky task.

It's that time of year again when we celebrate another memorable 12 months of sport, with this the 71st awards show.
