Claudia Pina, this time on the left channel, gets a shot at goal, but it may have taken a nick off a City defender and that enables Khiara Keating to make a comfortable save.

Khiara Keating made seven saves in the first half. Save number eight comes after only 18 seconds of the second.

Claudia Pina, already on the scoresheet, twists and turns to create space and gets a low shot away, but Keating does well to avoid conceding at her near post.

And we're back at Estadi Olimpic. Barcelona need at least a two-goal win to move above City and top Group D.

Manchester City are yet to win a corner or have a touch in the opposition penalty area.

It's been a good year so far for English teams in the Women's Champions League.

None have lifted the trophy since Arsenal did so in 2007, but the three English representatives have performed well in the group stage.

It's the first time a single nation has had three teams qualify for the quarter-finals in the same year. Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are all in the last eight.

Can City hang on to the top spot they narrowly have at the moment, with Arsenal needing to beat Bayern Munich at home later on to top Group C?

Barcelona defender Esmee Brugts speaking to Uefa on her way off the pitch at half-time: "Sometimes you need a little bit of luck. We are dominating. They didn't know for 15 minutes what to do and the goalkeeper sat down so that's a compliment for us. We just have to go in, discuss details and try to score again."

Claudia Pina's goal just before half-time has Barcelona ahead, after City goalkeeper Khiara Keating had earlier made four excellent saves.

City almost took a shock lead, but Jill Roord's 30-yard piledriver bounced off the bar when it was 0-0.

As it stands, City are still staying top of Group D, although Barca now only need one more goal to jump above them.

Once again Khiara Keating keeps it 0-0. Barcelona's Ewa Pajor is the wrong side of Alanna Kennedy and able to outpace her and sprint through. She only has Keating to beat, but she dives to her left to get her hands to the shot and pushes it wide.

Out of nowhere, Jill Roord strikes from range and it is a great hit but bounces off the woodwork, hitting the middle of the crossbar. City could be 3-0 down, they were nearly 1-0 up.

If Catalina Coll got fingertips to that then it's a brilliant save.

Esmee Brugts is causing City lots of problems as an advanced left-back and she wins a corner for Barcelona, although they opt to go short.

After a few phases of play, the ball drops to Brugts and she curls a lovely effort at goal. It would've found the top corner, only for Keating to make another brilliant save, tipping the ball over.

That's three excellent saves she has made to keep it level.

City are not helping their cause by giving the ball away. Once more, Khiara Keating concedes possession when trying to play out from the back. Aitana Bonmati lofts the ball over the City keeper, who is well off her line, but the effort goes just wide.

Barcelona respond by going down the other end and it is a glorious chance for Esmee Brugts. She is unmarked and free 15 yards out but wastefully can only shoot narrowly over the top. She really should have hit the target from there.

Better from City as they finally get a few passes together. In the end it is a tame effort from Jess Park on the edge of the area, which Catalina Coll easily catches. Still, something to be encouraged by for the travelling City fans.

A rare touch for home keeper Catalina Coll, but it hasn't come from a City attempt, instead it is just a pass back as Barcelona knock the ball about rapidly among themselves. It's going to be a tiring evening for the City players who are having to work really hard just to get a kick.

Keating is able to carry on as she does some exercises to loosen off that right shoulder. One to monitor.
