There were more positives than negatives, especially the way we fronted up physically.

This was a good physical battle against a France side as we look towards the game against Ireland next weekend.

Sean Lynn will take a lot from the Wales performance, particularly in that first half where Gwen Crabb and Kate Williams scored.

Ultimately the power of the French side told, and the longer the game went on the more the hosts dominated proceedings.

Without doubt an improvement from the England game though, as Philippa Tuttiett says.

It was a definite improvement for Wales from the England game when they died away in the last 20 minutes.

They have managed to stay in the fight and there was definitely some development there.

France's Grand Slam dreams remain intact, despite an improved performance from Wales.

A well-deserved win for Les Bleus in Brive, who are now three from three.

    France hit the 40-point mark.

It is the replacement scrum-half Lea Champon who scores a sixth French try of the game, getting quick ball at the breakdown and diving over.

Morgane Bourgeois has had a good day with the boot and slots over the conversion.

France have won home games over Wales by an average margin of 30 points in the Women's Six Nations, that statistic could be spot-on today.

France are not satisfied with the current score, they want another try.

They are inches away from it. And they have an advantage.

The French hooker, who scored France's third try, is named player of the match this afternoon in Brive.

    Well deserved.

The last couple scrums have been far more solid from Wales, and Sian Jones can clear.

In fact the clearance takes a touch off a French hand so it will be a Welsh line-out midway inside their own half.

The one negative for France today has been the handling errors, albeit in slippery conditions.

There is no doubting which team is on top now, and the longer this second half goes on the more dominant France become.

Ambre Mwayembe is the latest to win a penalty for Les Bleus, and France have another attacking line-out in the Welsh half.

Kayleigh Powell chases a long kick and the follow-up is good from Wales, winning the ball back in the French 22.

But the move comes to a end shortly after as Gwenllian Pyrs drops a simple pass forward.

    More frustrating moments for Wales.

Gwenllian Pyrs is back on, replacing Lisa Neumann, as Wales need a full front row to compete at this latest scrum.
