    HT: Derry 1-8 Mayo 1-11

The game swings in Mayo's favour just before half-time.

Matthew Ruane gets another point before Jordan Flynn fires into the far corner to give the visitors a three-point half-time lead.

The goal came after the hooter had already sounded. Derry initially attempted an attack after Aidan O'Shea had been dispossessed but after Padraig McGrogan was turned over just on halfway, Mayo worked the ball downfield again and Flynn fired in a magnificent low shot past Neil McNicholl.

Mayo lead by three at half-time and they stay ahead, it will go a long way to securing their Division One safety and Derry - Division One champions last season - will be relegated.
