"Who killed Kenny? Not Australia's Peter Lewis - not yet. England's triple Olympic champion Jason K draws the roars of the Hoydrome by taking this England v Australia sprint semi-final to a deciding race."

The atmosphere in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome is crackling more than a fatty piece of pork belly on a hot barbeque. The big man Hoy, sat trackside as a BBC TV pundit, has an envious twinkle in his eye as he watches on.

We have another rendition of The Proclaimers' 1980s classic (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles, before that is cut off for a lone bagpiper to welcome Scottish gold medallists Neil Fachie and Craig McLean. Huge roar as the pair climb on to the top step of the podium.

  3. Gold Medalpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 25 July 2014

Australia's Laura Coles beats Elena Allen of Wales to win the women's skeet gold, scoring 14-16 to Allen's 13-16. It is Wales' third medal of the Games.

"That was perfect from Jason Kenny. The size of the gap you leave to allow yourself to accelerate is crucial and Jason Kenny nailed it. That is exactly how you do it in training. If you are too close in behind you can't get the space to overtake, but that was textbook."

    Rob Hayles
Three-time Olympic medallist and BBC Sport cycling expert

"Jason Kenny just lay off the back of Peter Lewis and allowed him to take the pressure. The way he timed his final run was so good, he rode it absolutely perfectly. He used the centrifugal force out of the banking to slingshot himself up the home straight. He really hit him."

  6. Track Cyclingpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 25 July 2014

That is what you call timing the sprint to perfection! England's Jason Kenny stalks Peter Lewis from distance until the final straight, then flies out of the bend to hunt down his prey, hitting the whitewash just ahead of his Australian opponent. That takes the Olympic champion into a deciding race for a place in the men's sprint final.

  7. Shootingpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 25 July 2014

Andri Eleftheriou of Cyprus beats England's Sarah Gray to win the bronze in the women's skeet.

Next up is Wales' Elena Allen goes for gold in the gold-medal match.

"A hot day in Glasgow and you get to play with a hoop, ball, clubs and a ribbon - what's not to like? And there is even more to like for Wales supporters with team silver medallists Francesca Jones and Laura Halford in second and third spot of the rhythmic all-around final at the SSE Hydro Arena. The ribbon is the final event. Stay tuned."

"It was a superb start from Scotland's Neil Fachie and Craig MacLean, the tandem was reaching 70kmph at the mid-part of the race. That final half-lap it looked like they were pedalling through treacle, but it is brilliant to see they are the champions.

"Paul Kennedy and Thomas Clarke will be disappointed with their time, just outside of the 1:05 mark. They are always living in the shadow of the other Australian pair Keiran Modra and Jason Niblett.

"That was an incredible time from them to win silver, while the Welsh have bronze."

"Neil Fachie and Craig MacLean have worked together a long time and that I don't think that was ever in doubt! To make up so much time shows their class."

The roof has just been lifted off the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome - Scotland win another gold!

Paralympic champion Neil Fachie was the hot favourite to triumph alongside Craig MacLean, and pair meet that huge expectation with ease.

A storming display in the Para-sport 1000m time trial, where they clocked one minute 2.096 seconds, condemns Australia's Kieran Modra and Jason Niblett (1:02.244) to silver. Bronze going to Wales's Matt Ellis and Ieuan Williams (1:04.095).

Wales' Elena Allen shoots - and she scores a place in the women's skeet final. The 42-year-old former world record holder beats England's Sarah Gray in the sudden-death shoot-off to reach the gold medal match.

Canada's Patricia Bezzoubenko retains her lead after the third rotation in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around final.

Bezzoubenko scored 15.000 on the clubs for a total of 44.375 with Wales's Frankie Jones second on 43.150 and her team-mate Laura Halford, the British champion in third on 42.975.

One round to go - the ribbon.

  14. Shootingpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 25 July 2014

More shoot-off drama in Carnoustie, which isn't surprising considering the last three Open winners in the famous golf town were all victorious through play-offs.

But this lot are handy with pistols, not putters. Elena Allen of Wales and England's Sarah Gray face a shoot-off for a place in the gold medal match in the women's skeet after both scoring 13 from 16 in the semi-final. The winner will meet Australia's Laura Coles.

Northern Ireland's James Brown (the godfather of para-cycling perhaps?) is feeling good after powering his way around the track in a time of 1:09.413.

But that's not enough to budge Wales' Matthew Ellis from that top spot.

    Rob Hayles
Three-time Olympic medallist and BBC Sport cycling expert

"New Zealand really have improved in the last few seasons and have come here absolutely on fire. That first race was very evenly matched but Ed Dawkins just wasn't able to use the banking to his advantage on the final turn and Sam Webster held on in the home straight."

    Sir Chris Hoy
Six-time Olympic champion and BBC Sport cycling expert

"Jason Kenny rode it well, when you are leading from the front you want to keep your opponent close. Peter Lewis had the momentum and he lunged well on the line. There is nothing in it.

"I could be wrong but I think it will go to a third. If Kenny can come from the back and use his momentum in the same way Lewis did it will go to a grandstand finish.

"Kenny has that title, he is Olympic champion. He has a good temperament and experience, its a big challenge but he can still do this."

  18. Track cyclingpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 25 July 2014

Welsh pair Matthew Ellis and Ieuan Williams set a cracking pace in the men's para tandem 100m time trial, with a time of 1:04.095. The gauntlet has been well and truly laid down to the rest of the field.

  19. Track cyclingpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 25 July 2014

In the other men's sprint semi-final, New Zealand's Sam Webster digs deep to nick the opener from fellow Kiwi Edward Dawkins.

So it's advantage Sam Webster and advantage Peter Lewis. The second instalment of this three-part thriller will be on your screens in about 20 minutes.

"Elizabeth Cann won two bronze medals for England at the Delhi Commonwealth Games four years ago, but is competing for Jersey here in Glasgow.

"The 35-year-old had previously represented Jersey in 1998, 2002 and 2006 but after retiring from the English setup last year wanted one last shot at ending Jersey's hunt for a Commonwealth medal, which goes all the way back to 1990.

"It's not looking great for her prospects though as she loses to England's Sarah Walker 21-15, 21-13 in the mixed-team event, meaning England win the tie with an unassailable 3-0 lead."
