    Chris and Gabby Adcock of England will be picking up gold after beating compatriots Chris Langridge and Heather Olver in the final this morning. Robert Blair and Imogen Bankier on the bottom step for Scotland.

    Once the presentation is done, it will be the women's singles final in which second-seeded Scot Kirsty Gilmour takes on third seed Michelle Li of Canada.

    Ice-cool from the formerly fuming Ashley Jackson, who - after a lengthy delay while New Zealand query the award of a penalty corner - fires into the top corner, only for the umpire to demand it's retaken because of a Kiwi infringement, which seems a bit harsh.     Commonwealth women's road race silver medallist Emma Pooley, speaking to BBC Sport: "That was unexpected! We were working for Liz and I wanted to do everything for her. When she came past me and I was still clear I thought I might as well keep going. It's been a long nine years, it was nice to finish on a high.

    "I'm getting all pathetic in my old age, it was really, really lovely. I'm really pleased, Liz rode the perfect race but had a perfect team behind her, the young girls coming through are strong. The future is bright and there will be plenty of riders to keep the team going."
