"Gasps around the Royal Commonwealth Pool as England's Jack Laugher messes up his penultimate dive - the forward 4.5 somersault - which is the most difficult in his routine of six.

"After looking comfortable in the gold medal position for four rounds he's now down to second and some 10 points behind Malaysian rival Ooi Tze Liang. This is a big surprise, but team-mate Oliver Dingley is performing above expectations and currently in the bronze medal position."

Judd, with her unusual jerky running style, leads from the front with Dudgeon sat right on her shoulder. The Hampden crowd roar Dudgeon down the home straight but she fades in the final 30m to finish fourth. No such worries for teenager Judd. The 19-year-old breezes away from the pack to win the second semi-final.

Bit of bumping on lap one as India's Tintu Lukka also slides off the wet track in her hurry to lead the race. But that was about as exciting as the race got. Kenya's Eunice Sum, the pre-event favourite, is almost in cruise control as she reaches the white line first in 2:01.38. Scotland's Lynsey Sharp makes a late dash for the line, sticking an outstretched foot over the line ahead of England's Jenny Meadows for fourth.

Bit of breaking news. There will only be four teams in Friday's synchronised 10m platform final after Malaysia withdrew their two pairs of divers. The organisers have decided that with so few teams now in the competition they will only offer gold and silver medals - so there will be no award for third place.

Defending champion Tom Daley of England is set to compete alongside James Denny in the competition.

"This has never been the strongest piece of apparatus for the home nations. The great ring workers are short stocky guys, but how many of them can do the pommel horse? We can't win everything. Still, it's great for Dan Purvis to pick up a medal after his disappointment with the pommel and the floor."

Canada get their first gold medal in the gymnastics thanks to Scott Morgan.

It's a one-two as well with silver for Kevin Lytwyn.

Scotland are celebrating too as Daniel Purvis bags bronze.

"Rasheed Dwyer looked the best out of all three semi-finals. With 15 metres to go he just cruised home. Nice and easy. Could Dwyer upset Warren Weir? I think he can, yes. I think Jamaica will get gold and silver, but that bronze medal is up for grabs."

These Jamaican dudes aren't bad at sprinting are they? After watching team-mates Warren Weir and Jason Livermore win their semi-finals, Rasheed Dwyer follows suit in the third and final heat. The people of that particular Caribbean island will be happy for another clean sweep in tonight's final.

That begins at 21:10 BST and is a 'must watch' race. Make sure set a reminder on your phone for that one.

England's James Ellington and Northern Ireland's Leon Reid will not be there after finishing fourth and eighth respectively.

It's not to be for Max Whitlock as Australia's Naoya Tsukahara pushes him out of the medals.

Not a bad day's work though for the Englishman, who has gold from the floor and silver on the pommel horse to go with his other two golds.

In between the men's 200m semi-finals, the Hampden crowd clap on those huge blokes who trying chucking that little saucer-like bit of metal out of the stadium. But home hope Angus McInroy is eliminated after his fourth attempt, leaving Wales' Brett Morse and England's Carl Myerscough as the crowd favourites. Both need to produce something big though if they are to gatecrash the podium party.

Only one man is Glasgow can run sub-20 seconds in the 200m - and that's Warren Weir of Jamaica. Obviously Usain Bolt can too but he's not competing so you get my drift...

Anyway, the Olympic bronze medallist is the hot favourite to win the Commonwealth title and reaches tonight's final by winning a tight second semi-final. He struts off confidently but he had to work a little bit in the last 50m for a run of 20.48secs. England's Chris Clarke will not join him there though, finishing sixth in 20.71secs.

"The best rings routine I have ever seen him do," declares BBC Sport's Matt Baker.

Canada's Scott Morgan occupies top slot.

"England's Jack Laugher is continuing to dominate this 3m final but there is another English-born diver doing incredibly well at the moment - in Jamaica's colours.

"Yona Knight-Wisdom could have competed for England or his mother's homeland of Barbados, but chose his father's country and is Jamaica's first-ever Commonwealth diver. The teenager who trains in Leeds is also in third place after two of six rounds and the crowd are really getting behind him."
