A cracker of an opening semi-final as England's Danny Talbot finishes second, almost level with Jamaica's Jason Livermore, to qualify for tonight's 200m final. Talbot said before that was going to take inspiration from close friend Adam Gemili winning 100m silver. Now he is about 20secs away from emulating his mate.

England sprinter Jodie Williams tells 5 live after reaching the 200m final: "I think that was by the far the toughest semi so I had to go for it. It was great to have Blessing Okagbare to chase. I always leave things late, but I got the job done. The legs are feeling good, I feel relaxed and I'm in the best shape of my life. Hopefully I can do something in the final."

"You saw again there why Blessing Okagbare is the one to beat in the 200m. Jodie Williams left herself so much to do, but she had the strength, relaxation and confidence to get second. That was a superb performance from Jodie and she deserves her place in the final and could get herself on that podium. Jodie has to believe anything is possible."
