Rutherford set a new British record of 8.51m this year despite struggling with injuries this year, and said: "I would love to go and jump something massive again and win - it would be a really special occasion. But, if I jump 7.90 and win with it, I'll take that."

England's Para-sport F42/44 discus gold medallist Dan Greaves and Wales' silver medallist Aled Davies have been speaking on BBC One.

Greaves says: "I've had my eyes on the gold for a while and trained so hard for it. The crowd were unbelievable, on a par with London 2012. Aled and I are great buddies off the track - it's hard, but we both want it just as much."

Davies adds: "It's such an emotional event. It's an opportunity we don't get that often as para-athletes. It's such an honour to be a part of an inclusive Games - it's a very rare thing. It's very special for the able-bodied fans to get behind Para-sport."
