Brinn Bevan has just produced a flawless parallel bars routine. His difficulty was a whole mark higher than the next most-difficult as he scored a whopping 14.450 - the best we've seen on that apparatus today by a long way.

Great work too from Emil Barber on the vault, who scores 14.175 to go top of that qualifying table.

A few changes as England step out for the second half.

Jade Clarke has taken Laura Malcolm's place at centre, while Commonwealth Games debutant Sophie Drakeford-Lewis - who was a national tennis star at junior level - takes the wing attack bib from captain Natalie Metcalf.

Eleanor Cardwell is also in for goal shooter Jo Harten.

No change to the momentum as England keep to grow their lead.

Scotland's para-cycling newcomer Libby Clegg has made a successful switch from Para-athlete to the bronze medal final of the Commonwealth Games tandem B track cycling sprint.

Clegg started an athletics journey at age nine that yielded five Paralympic medals and five World Championships medals.

The 32-year-old is at the Commonwealth Games as a para-cyclist with a mere six months of training in the tank.

After a false start, England's Ryan Owens, Hamish Turnbull and Joe Truman quickly make amends and qualify for the gold medal final with the second fastest time of 43.296 seconds.

They will face Australia in the final. The Aussies set a new Games record of 42.222 in qualifying.

Max Whitlock isn't competing today but there is plenty of gymnastics to bring you with the Men’s team final from 17:30 BST coming right after a packed schedule of individual qualifiers both this morning and this afternoon.

Welsh duo Alys Margaret Thomas and Harriet Jones and England's Holly Hibbott also advance to the semi-finals though Canada's Maggie Macneil and Australia's Emma McKeon are very much the ladies to beat.

Olympic champion Macneil is second fastest behind the Olympic 50m and 100m freestyle champion McKeon after this morning's qualifying races.

Multiple changes made for Trinidad and Tobago, but not enough to draw them into it.

The perfect start.

A superb second half helps Scotland to a win in their opener.

Charlotte Watson took the lead for Scotland, before South Africa hit back with two Lisa-Marie Deetlefs goals.

Chris Duncan's side levelled through Sarah Robertson after great play out wide from Millie Stieger.

And they added a third with a Fiona Burnet deflection in the third quarter, before Jennifer Eadie netted a fourth in the closing stages.

In the men's rugby sevens, Scotland ease to a 41-0 win over Tonga after South Africa easily defeated Malaysia 46-0.

England are cruising in the netball now.

They had a slower-than-expected start but that second quarter was smooth sailing and they are fully in command at 37-9 up.

Birmingham-born netballer Stacey Francis-Bayman has just come on for Jade Clarke at wing defence to a big cheer from the crowd.

The 34-year-old plans to retire after these Games and missed the Gold Cost win because she was taking a break from the sport.

Be nice to send her off in style wouldn't it...

Australia's Megan Schutt takes two wickets with the final two balls of India's innings.

So India finish on 154-8, that feels like a very competitive score. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur starred with 52 runs off 34 balls.

New Zealand's Hayden Wilde on finishing second behind England's Alex Yee in the men's triathlon: "I am chuffed for the guy [Yee]. He played the perfect race. He was always in contention and I knew it was going to be a hard task [on the run] even though I was 16 seconds in front.

"We have had such great battles since Tokyo, with him getting the [Olympic] silver and me getting the bronze. Just repeating that again. For me it was like 'damn, another one'. We came into the limelight at the same time and it is nice to see we are both still developing and becoming better athletes, day by day."

On the crash he caused in Leeds that left both Yee and England's Jonny Brownlee injured: "We are really great mates behind the scenes. He knows that is part of racing. That was the last thing I wanted to see, but to see him here and to get that gold medal for his country is fantastic.

"Obviously, Jonny isn't here, which I am absolutely disappointed about, personally. Having a Brownlee in any sort of race makes it super exciting. If I had Jonny up with me at the front who knows what might have happened but it is what it is and I'm really happy to come away with silver.

"Second place is nothing to be disappointed about. There were a few things in the race I did perfectly. It was the best swim of my life, and what a place to do it.

"I got a 10-second penalty, which was debateable, but that is racing. The New Zealand team is going to protest but there is nothing else we can do about it.

"It is what it is and I am super happy I did everything I could in the race. I am proud of what I did, I didn't leave anything to chance and yes, it was a ripper."

Lara van Niekerk sets a new Games record in the Women's 50m breaststroke with a time of 29.82.

Sensational from the South African who was very much the pre-Games favourite after collecting a bronze at the world champs last month.

The arena falls eerily silent as Rhys McClenaghan begins his pommel horse routine.

A lot of pressure on the 22-year-old's shoulders given he won Northern Ireland's sole gold medal four years ago.

He completes his routine, and the arena erupts. McClenaghan has nailed it.

A score of 14.350, that is enormous. He'll be in Monday's final.

That's the highest score by almost 2.5 marks.

The crowd joined in for a bit but didn't keep it up. They're still getting behind every goal at least.
