After a short break for a medal ceremony, we'll have the women's scratch race, featuring England's Laura Kenny and Scotland's Neah Evans among a host of home nations riders.

Kenny already has team pursuit bronze from these Games but finished 13th in the points race yesterday. Her Olympic team-mate Evans won silver in that race, as well as bronze in the individual pursuit.

Nope, that was just a perfect strike from Mandeep Singh. The goal stands and India lose their review.

Such a shame for England men, they had been well on top.

    Hockey: England 0-2 India

What a goal this is on the counter.

Mandeep Singh finishes off a lovely move for India men with a top-corner rifle on the reverse.

But was it back stick? England ask for an umpire referral. Seconds remain in the first quarter.

Actually remembered to watch the starter fire the gun this time so it didn't make me jump for the zillionth time...only it didn't fire. Reset! New gun found.

Wales' Rhian Edmunds and England's Milly Tanner race through to the women's keirin final, behind New Zealand's Ellesse Andrews.

With their second group-game victory at the beach volleyball, England's Javier and Joaquin Bello have secured their place in the quarter-finals.

England have made it to that stage before, but never beyond. Hopefully the twins can change that!

Even during the interval, the gymnastics doesn't stop. While most of the crowd are queuing for drinks or bathroom pitstops, one young fan starts walking around the concrete corridors on his hands.

    Of course.

He's into the lead as Scotland's Pavel Karnejenko takes to the apparatus.

    Men's rings final

    Christine Still
    Gymnastics expert on BBC TV

That was one of the most confident and controlled performances that I’ve seen from Courtney. So positive, really good control, makes the dismount with ease.

    Pressure? What pressure!

A hugely confident performance by Courtney Tulloch. The defending champion produces an assured routine, controlling the swinging elements and nailing the dismount.

That is sure to be high 14s.

    Women's -64kg

    Oh no!

The medal slips from Zoe Smith's grasp as she misses the 125kg. What a shame. Some heavy lifting in the clean and jerk but she missed a few weights in the snatch and that has cost her.

Canada's Maude Charron will take gold, Australia's Sarah Cochrane has silver and Nigeria's Islamiyat Adebukola Yusuf takes the bronze.

Smith was 2kg off the bronze.

And now Charron will just keep going until her arms get tired, which at this rate, could be... Never.

The Birmingham 2022 mascot Perry the bull has just come out and raised the (non-existent) roof at the Smithfield beach.

Fans absolutely love him - you see hats with his head on all over the place here.

He dances around as Smithfield chants his name. There is plenty of noise for England's Bello brothers in action in the beach volleyball, but I think Perry got marginally more there.

We should be getting an even louder roar shortly though, because it's match point England...
