    Men's cross-country final

In the men's cross country mountain biking, every component can be changed with the assistance of mechanics except for the frame. You have to finish the race on the frame you started with.

There's already been a few mechanicals, with riders having to walk their bikes to find help.

The current race leaders are New Zealanders Sam Gaze and Ben Oliver, who come through neck-and-neck with six laps to go.

The home nations are on the chase, though, with Scotland's Charlie Aldridge and Northern Ireland's Cameron Orr behind.

"When I kicked, I heard the roar and I thought I've just got to keep going for home now.

"The crowd distracted me from the pain in my legs so it was crazy and I loved it!

"I can't get my head around it!

"I'm still only 20, I've never been to a major games before."

Fear not though, her medal hopes are far from over with two events left. On paper she has the strongest javelin of anyone in the field (she is also participating in the individual javelin event), so will expect to move back up the standings this evening.
