Wales table tennis pair Charlotte Carey and Anna Hursey have won 16-14 in the first game of the women's doubles bronze-medal match against Singapore's Wong Xin Ru and Zhou Jingu.

There was controversy at 11-11 when television replays showed the ball hit one of the Singapore players during the rally but was not spotted by officials and Wales lost the point.

Carey was not happy with the decision and the Singapore players for not flagging it. It did not affect Wales and they went onto win the game.

It is the first to three games.
