    Men's flyweight final

England's Kiaran MacDonald takes on Amit Panghal of India in the men's flyweight final.

This juicy looking match up pits the vastly experienced and pre-tournament favourite Panghal against the self-confessed “flashy, fancy, and explosive” MacDonald.

This is the second successive Commonwealth final that Panghal has faced an English boxer in, having lost to Galal Yafai four years ago.

Panghal is desperate for redemption after bombing out at the 2020 Olympics. His star status will return if he can get past Tyne and Wear‘s MacDonald, who won a brilliant European Championship silver in May.

He looked in prime form as he stopped Wales’ Jake Dodd by technical knockout in their semi.
