The atmosphere in here might be one of the most intense I've ever experienced.

Every single time an England player stretches an arm out for the ball, they're willed on by screams from the crowd.

You can see the England players are feeling a bit hard done by by some of these umpire calls. They need to just crack on and not let the calls get in their head.

Gretel Bueta is just absolutely running the show in the shooting circle for the Diamonds. It's so difficult in there, perhaps we will see Eboni Usoro-Brown on for England just to try something new?

Harris-Allan behind after round onepublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Men's bantamweight semi-finals

Owain Harris-Allan is quick on his feet and he needs to be as Abraham Mensah goes on the attack.

Good shot! After taking some punishment, Wales' Harris-Allan lands a right hand which leaves Abraham needing a standing count.

Nevertheless, the Ghanaian edges the scorecards because of his intent.

    Lisa Alexander
    Former Australian netball coach

I was going to complement both teams on their lack of errors. They are just playing superb netball.

It is not going to be easy for England to crack the Diamonds. But they have to get back on that roll and take advantage of it.

Ohhh what a take! Jo Harten receives the ball off balance and falling over the back line but manages to offload to retain possession before she tumbles out of court.

But that is so unlucky, Nat Metcalf is a toe offside in the follow-up pass and it's advantage Australia again.

Better start from England. They win a turnover on the first centre pass and this time they take it to goal.

The deficit is down to four.

Welsh teenager up nextpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Men's bantamweight semi-finals

Who will go for gold against Dylan Eagleson?

    Potentially Welsh teenager Owain Harris-Allan.

The 18-year-old might have a baby face, but he's got serious talent in the ring.

Harris-Allan was brilliant in his previous bout and now faces another teenager, Ghanaian 19-year-old Abraham Mensah, for the chance to fight for gold.

Scotland's boxers impresspublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Men's bantamweight semi-finals

    Richard Winton
BBC Sport Scotland at the NEC Arena

Scotland's boxers might be loud, but they are quietly becoming one of the stories of Birmingham 2022 for their team.

Although Matthew McHale - a tiler, rather than a professional athlete - has to settle for bronze, Sam Hickey and Sean Lazzerini will win at least silver on Sunday. All in, the eight-strong squad will leave with five shiny bits of tin regardless of what happens over the next couple of days.

Some effort, given only a couple of them are on the GB programme.

NI's Eagleson into gold-medal boutpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Men's bantamweight semi-finals

Scotland's Matthew McHale is a tiling instructor when he's not in the ring.

Can he cement a silver medal? Not sure he's been precise enough or level on the cards.

It's a tight one... both men jump around on the spot as they nervously wait the decision.

In the blue corner... Northern Ireland's Dylan Eagleson wins by split decision.

He's through to the gold-medal bout, with McHale having to settle for bronze.

    Beth Cobden
Former England player on BBC Three

We need everyone on defence, making them make as many passes as they can and force the long feed.

If we can turn and score from there, those are the little game changers.

The umpires have got their work cut out for them. You don't want to keep stopping the game - you want it to flow but you want to stop them getting injuries.

England need reward from those turnovers. We're getting some but we're not scoring from them.

Northern Ireland's Rachael Darragh has missed out on the semi-finals of the women's singles.

England trail at half-timepublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Half-time.

Well, that is not the half that England would've hoped for.

But the gap was nine goals at one stage in that game, it's down to six. England are still in touch but it's a huge second half incoming.

Those changes needed to come from head coach Jess Thirlby but you can't help thinking star player Ellie Cardwell should've been on from the start.

Scotland or Northern Ireland to secure at least silver?published at 15:10 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Men's bantamweight semi-finals

We've got an all-Home Nations affair in the NEC ring now.

Scotland's Matthew McHale is taking on Northern Ireland's Dylan Eagleson in the men's bantamweight semi-finals.

The prize? A place in the final and the chance to turn a silver into gold.

McHale is on the front front in the second round, but the slow pace is suiting Eagleson.

Given her side are seven goals up, shooter Gretel Bueta only laughs.
