    Men's fours semi-finals

    Michael Morrow

Oh my word. The tears are flowing on rink 10, thankfully they are those of elation after a quite incredible finish to India and England's men's fours semi-final.

India trailed by two going into the final end, and with literally the final bowl of a near two-and-a-half hour game Indian skip Dinesh Kumar knocks the jack between three of his side's bowls.

England concede two but call for the umpire to measure the third. It's in hope more than expectation, and India know it. They are crying and hugging as their coach right in front of me literally jumps for joy, he can't quite believe what he's just seen.

To be fair, no-one here can.

    Men's fours semi-finals

What a turn-up - India have picked up a three in the final end to beat England 13-12 in a see-saw men's fours semi-final.

Unbelievable finish to a captivating encounter.

The England four, which already had a gold and silver between them in the triples and pairs, will now go in the bronze-medal match on Saturday.

Not the colour they wanted but they will now have the opportunity to complete the set.

  9. hockey

Women's hockey: England 0-0 New Zealand

It's scrappy hockey again with neither side able to break through the others' midfield.

Oh but hang on, Hannah Martin takes it upon herself to sprint down the left, beating her marker before getting tackled illegally by Megan Hull.

    Penalty corner England.

Brittany O'Brien, who has previously specialised in the 10m platform, takes silver with an excellent showing for Australia.

Nothing like a home medal-winner to get the crowd in the mood.

Discus thrower Lawrence Okoye gets a big roar as he is introduced to the fans at the discus medal ceremony.

And he only won silver last night.

It's definitely a night for a jumper - it's breezy and if you're out of the sunshine already a bit chilly.

The medal events - which we will talk through more later - are only half the story at the Alexander Stadium tonight.

Sandwiched in-between the feast of medals, there are some stellar semi-finals taking place on the track...

    19:09: Men’s 200m semi-finals

Lots of withdrawals has blown this event wide open, with England's Zharnel Hughes and Adam Gemili aiming to challenge reigning champion Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago.

    19:32: Women’s 400m semi-finals

All of Jamaica’s expected entrants withdrew, along with Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas, opening up the prospects of a medal for England's Victoria Ohuruogu. Her team-mates Ama Pipi and Jodie Williams, plus Scottish pair Zoey Clark and Nicole Yeargin, also run as they aim to stop clear favourite Sada Williams of Barbados.
