Mia Vallee of Canada looks to have one hand on the Commonwealth gold medal after three of five dives. She's opened up a decent gap on the rest of the field.

She's 21 and won bronze in this event on her World Championship debut in late June. Looks like a maiden Commonwealth medal is heading her way too.

And that late England chance is the last opportunity of note in the first half.

Like Becky says, it's all a bit stop-start.

The momentum is with England now and Jamie-Lea Winch takes the plaudits for a couple of stellar efforts.

Malaysia have lost a little bit of concentration and are struggling to find a way out of this seven-point deficit.

After three of the five dives it's looking good for world bronze medallist Mia Vallee of Canada.

Another fine dive, a reverse 2.5 tuck somersault, sees her top the standings on 179.30! She has a near 19-point cushion over Brittany O'Brien of Australia.

Defending champ Grace Reid of Scotland is back in the medal mix after a fine dive and has 155.65 points to lie fifth.

England's Amy Rollinson scores 6.5s with her effort and has 152.00 points.

India are proving a stern opponent, responding with a single to cut England's lead to 11-10 going into the 14th and penultimate end.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland have also cut Wales' advantage to 9-8 after 10 ends.

These men's fours semi-finals are both too close to call.

Three minutes of the first half remain. It's as tight as we were predicting folks.

Well... but for a blade of grass or less, that Malaysian ball would have gone in.

They have cut that score down, which gives them a chance but they need to score here, or it is handshake time.
