Scotland's Reese Lynch after securing at least light welterweight bronze: "I enjoyed that, especially at the end. After his last fight he said this would be easy but I'm the hardest fight here and he knows that now. He won't say that again and my next opponent won't either.
"My two brothers and my dad are up the back of the stand. My mum couldn't come down because she's on dayshift at the hospital but she would have been watching with the other doctors and nurses. But she's coming down now to see me win gold."

There's a buzz of excitement as fans begin to file in to watch England's Emily Campbell go for gold in the weightlifting.
Her event starts at 14:30 BST, having been moved back from 14:00 BST because of a "technical delay".

England's world champion and 2018 Commonwealth silver medallist is setting the pace in the women's mountain bike cross-country race, and she has already whittled the group down to five riders.
Scotland's Isla Short is among those still in contention.

It is a comfortable victory for Australia and a clean sweep through the group for them.
But so far for Meg Lanning and her side, it is a job well done.

They couldn't bowl out Pakistan, who hold on to their final two wickets, but the Aussies win by 44 runs.
That means they have won all three of their Group A matches and head into the semi-finals as group winners.
They will play either England or New Zealand in the last four.

English weightlifter Emily Campbell is an icon.
She was the first woman to win an Olympic weightlifting medal for Team GB but her influence extends beyond sport too.
Campbell is passionate about changing fashion, contacting sports brands to ask them to make clothing for bigger women.
As well as the gold medal, she’s aiming for the elusive total of 300kg and wants to lift 170kg in the clean and jerk.
Why 170kg? Because it would involve three 25kg red weights on either side of the bar which she thinks “will make great photos”.
Like I said, iconic.

Comparisons have been made between Reese Lynch and Josh Taylor and the 21-year-old is doing his bit to make good on those.
That's him now got at least a Commonwealth bronze medal to add to his world bronze after getting the better of Jonas Junias Jonas of Namibia. The intoxicating sniff of gold is now in his nostrils.
Maybe being hung from door frames is good for you after all...

Reese Lynch is the first of the Scottish hopes in quarter-final action against Namibia's Jonas Jonas at the NEC Birmingham.
The Scot is leading after winning the opening round 10-9.
He's showing good defensive skills and frustrating the defending champion Jonas.

It could be a profitable day for Scotland, with two silver medals at least already guaranteed.
Pauline Wilson and Rosemary Lenton - with a combined age of 130 - take on Australia in the Para pairs bowls in Leamington Spa. And Sarah Adlington would retain her 78kg judo title from Glasgow 2014 if she beats Tulika Maan of India.
She could be joined on the podium in Coventry by team-mate Rachel Tytler, who is in the bronze-medal contest, while another Scot - Andrew McWatt - will also fight for a medal in the 100kg.
Before that, though there are three boxing medals in sight, with Reese Lynch, Sam Hickey and Sean Lazzerini all in quarter-final action shortly.

Pakistan have 21 balls left to stick 80 runs on the board and beat Australia. Not happening.
More pertinently, can Australia get the three wickets they need to wrap this match up early?

The English heptathlete will be back in the Alexander Stadium tonight when the athletics resumes at 19:00 BST, when eight gold medals are up for grabs.
The other big focus tonight will be on the pool. Nine events where swimmers are going for gold.
