I have crunched the numbers so you don't have to.

Katerina Johnson-Thompson has a lead of 136 points over Northern Ireland's Kate O'Connor as the pair head into the 800m - the final event of the heptathlon.

That equates to roughly 10 seconds at the speed these athletes run the 800m.

Johnson-Thompson's 800m personal best is two minutes 7.26 seconds, while O'Connor's is 2:11.76.

So game and gold over KJT?

Not so quick. The Englishwoman has been a long way off that sort of pace this year, running a pair of 2:19 times. O'Connor's personal best came last year after a couple of seasons of steady improvement. And she is yet to show what she can do over the distance this year.

There could be a twist in the tale just yet....

Katarina Johnson-Thompson liked that!

Her ex-coach Jean-Yves Cochand nicknamed her 'Droopy' because of her hangdog body language when she was in competition. Well, a massive javelin personal best will perk things right up.

The 29-year-old has just launched it out to 44.33m, an improvement on the 43.93 that she threw en route to World Championship gold in Doha in 2019.

Northern Ireland's Kate O'Connor has won the javelin with 51.14m, but Johnson-Thompson's above-par performance will give her a decent points cushion heading into the final event - the 800m - at 21:00 BST tonight.

Well, Wales sprinter Jeremiah Azu did not disappoint in the 100m semi-finals as he finished second in a personal best of 10.15secs to go through to the final.

He will line up in the final and hope to bring home a medal for Wales.

With Aled Sion Davies and Harrison Walsh going later in the men's F42-44/61-64 men's discus final, this could be another special night for Wales.
