  1. 'So happy I hung on'

    Women's 4x400m relay

    BBC Sport

    Jessie Knight

England's victorious 4x400m relay team speaking to BBC TV:

Ama Pipi: "I just wanted to have a really good time and do my best. To win the gold was incredible."

Victoria Ohuruogu: "I just tried to get them off to a good start. It did feel quite rough. I am just happy for the girls - 400m women in this country, we have a lot. Very strong team, really happy. Job done."

Jodie Williams: "I couldn't think if a better ending. It's been an incredible Commonwealth Games, to do it with these girls has been a blessing."

Jessie Knight: "They put me in such a good position. I knew who I had on my leg. It's really easy to get over excited and overcook the first 200m. My family were at about 300m and I was just trying to think. With the amount of England flags and everything it was just unreal. So happy I hung on. I just want to say thanks to Chris McAllister because he taught me that dip."

  2. Australia open up lead

    Jamaica 29-32 Australia

    Becky Grey

    BBC Sport at NEC Arena

Party's over at the netball, down to business.

Australia aren't messing as they open up the third quarter with three unanswered goals.

The crowd respond with a chant of 'let's go Jamaica, let's go'.

  3. The drama....

    4x400m relay

    Mike Henson

    BBC Sport at Alexander Stadium

Jed Mercurio and a budget of billions couldn't produce drama like that.

England's Jessie Knight dredges up final bit of energy from somewhere and thrusts her baton, arm, chest, head and kitchen sink over the line to deny Canada.

Nobody was sure until the result appeared on the big screen. And even then...let's get those medals handed out quick.

  4. Post update

    HT: Jamaica 29-29 Australia

    Becky Grey

    BBC Sport at NEC Arena

    Yesss.

Jamaica come on for their warm-up before the second half and join in with the dancing crowd before they get going.

A reminder of their semi-final celebration moves if you haven't seen them.

  5. Canada v Australia for volleyball gold

Women's gold medal match: Canada v Australia

    Katie Falkingham

    BBC Sport at Smithfield

Next up at Smithfield is the women's final between Canada and Australia, and it's a repeat of the gold medal match four years ago on the Gold Coast.

Canada won on that occasion so can Australia exact revenge?

I caught sight of them warming up as I walked into Smithfield a little earlier. I felt very, very small stood even 10m or so away.

    Canada and Australia warming up
  6. Party at the netball

    HT: Jamaica 29-29 Australia

    Becky Grey

    BBC Sport at NEC Arena

"We're going to party, let's do this," the DJ tells the NEC Arena crowd.

All the fans have been given wristbands which flash different colours as they wave their hands in the air to the music.

I reckon the competition for most fun sport at the Games is a toss-up between netball and beach volleyball.

  7. Post update

    Women's 4x400m relay

They've just shown Jessie Knight how close she was on the finish line.

"I just want to say thanks to Chris McAlister because he taught me that dip!"

That was great fun. Relays are brilliant.

  8. 'The long arm of Jessie Knight has won it for England'

    Women's 4x400m relay

    Steve Cram

    Athletics commentator on BBC TV

Ohhh, she threw her arm out. By throwing your arm out you try to push your torso forward. The baton won but not sure England did...let's just wait. It is official - the long arm of Jessie Knight has won the gold medal for England.

  9. Post update

    Women's 4x400m relay

    WHAT a finish that was!

England take gold in 3:25.83secs, with Canada second and Jamaica third.

    Lovely, lovely stuff.

  10. Post update

    Men's super-heavyweight gold medal bout

Dare we say it... we have to... it was a Delicious performance from Orie.

After losing the first round, the 25-year-old Englishman did not panic and stuck to his plan.

That culminated in the late flurry of punches which were enough to see off India's Sagar.

Orie is understandably overcome with emotion as he realises what he has achieved, then goes over to celebrate with his family.

"You've done it, you've done it," shouts his dad.

    Yes he has!!

  19. Netball level at half-time

    HT: Jamaica 29-29 Australia

    Becky Grey

    BBC Sport at NEC Arena

The NEC gets loud as Jamaica have 20 seconds left in the quarter to score on their centre and keep things level.

They deliver the goods and we go into half-time on 29-29. The TENSION.
