  • Gloucestershire reach target with three overs to spare

  • Glos captain Michael Klinger hits unbeaten 137

  • Surrey play Notts in Monday's semi-final

  1. 50 runs

    Gloucestershire 201-2 (Klinger 97, Marshall 54)published at 38 overs

    Target 264

We've talked a lot about Michael Klinger in this innings so far, but Hamish Marshall has been equally as important in getting those important singles. He delicately guides the ball into the leg-side off Karl Carver to bring up his half century off 51 balls.

  2. Gloucestershire 194-2 (Klinger 95, Marshall 49)published at 37 overs

    Target 264

Michael Klinger and Hamish Marshall have put their side in the box seat here, and the former brings up the 100 partnership with an easy single.

Marshall then drags takes advantage of a short ball from Steven Patterson with a four and take him to within one of his half century.

    Gloucestershire 189-2 - target 264

Hello, we're going upstairs after Will Rhodes hits the stumps direct, but Michael Klinger is clearly in. Not out.

  5. Gloucestershire 187-2 (Klinger 92, Marshall 45)published at 36 overs

    Target 264

Similar story as Michael Klinger drills Will Rhodes' opening delivery back past the stumps to the boundary as he moves into the 90s.

Rhodes tries a ball of full length which just misses Hamish Marshall's outside edge and he can only reflect on what might have been. Cricket can be a tough old game when things aren't going your way.

  7. Gloucestershire 180-2 (Klinger 86, Marshall 44)published at 35 overs

    Target 264

Steven Patterson returns and Hamish Marshall effortlessly flicks his opening delivery for four behind square.

Things really are starting to look grim for the home side with the required rate below a run per over from here, and having picked up that early boundary, the two Gloucestershire batsmen content themselves with picking off easy singles.

  8. Gloucestershire 172-2 (Klinger 84, Marshall 38)published at 34 overs

    Target 264

Decent over from Will Rhodes as just two singles come from it, and with the final delivery Hamish Marshall comes very close to playing on to his own stumps.

Gloucestershire need 92 runs from 96 balls, while Yorkshire need a break.

  9. Gloucestershire 170-2 (Klinger 83, Marshall 37)published at 33 overs

    Target 264

Tim Bresnan is trying every sort of variation to try to get one of this pair out, including a full toss which almost hit Hamish Marshall in the chest!

Five come from the over as cries of "Yorkshire, Yorkshire..." try to lift the team, but the bowling attack is really struggling here.

  10. Gloucestershire 165-2 (Klinger 80, Marshall 35)published at 32 overs

    Target 264

On this showing, England are perhaps fortunate Michael Klinger has never been capped for Australia. They do need an opener for their tour against Bangladesh at the end of this month, though....

He runs down the track and hits another for four off Matthew Fisher. Gloucestershire need less than 100 for victory now.

  11. Gloucestershire 158-2 (Klinger 75, Marshall 33)published at 31 overs

    Target 264

Don't give Michael Klinger any sort of chance, Yorkshire. Tim Bresnan drops one just short of a length, and the Australian pulls to the boundary beyond a despairing Gary Ballance dive.

Remember, Klinger has come back from Australia for this game, having returned home to prepare for their domestic season.

  12. Gloucestershire 152-2 (Klinger 70, Marshall 32)published at 30 overs

Alex Lees is rotating his bowlers and. Matthew Fisher, at just 17 years old, comes back into the attack and mirrors Bresnan's over, conceding three runs.

It's good economy from Yorkshire, but they really need a wicket.

Eyes from all over the world are on events at Headingley...

  14. Gloucestershire 149-2 (Klinger 69, Marshall 30)published at 29 overs

    Target 264

Tim Bresnan concedes just three runs off his over, but Michael Klinger and Hamish Marshall are happy to sit tight, knowing they can attack some of the more inexperienced bowlers.

Headingley is rather quiet at the moment. Nails may be being bitten by some of the Vikings' supporters.

Yorkshire have used seven bowlers and I think that shows just how desperate Alex Lees is to get a wicket. He's turned to his most experienced bowler Tim Bresnan, hoping for his extra pace and bounce to try and break this partnership up.

Two wides from Adam Lyth in that over, maybe we spoke too soon about his bowling ability?

Michael Klinger and Hamish Marshall once again swap singles and Yorkshire bring Tim Bresnan back into the attack. Could he be the man to turn things around?

  17. Gloucestershire 140-2 (Klinger 65, Marshall 27)published at 27 overs

    Target 264

Hamish Marshall and Michael Klinger look so comfortable taking the singles and occasional twos, and they have reached a 50 partnership from 49 deliveries.

They really haven't been in any sort of trouble so far. Will Yorkshire bring the experience of Steven Patterson and Tim Bresnan back into the attack?

Some spectators have found a new job for Adam Lyth for England if the selectors decide they no longer want him to open the batting...

  19. Gloucestershire 135-2 (Klinger 63, Marshall 24)published at 26 overs

    Target 264

Adam Lyth's bowling has actually looked pretty decent in this match, but an aggressive Hamish Marshall comes down the wicket, and hits the ball over extra cover for four. Seven runs from that over and Gloucestershire are well on course for their target, but they need to keep wickets intact.

  20. Gloucestershire 128-2 (Klinger 61, Marshall 19)published at 25 overs

    Target 264

Michael Klinger and Hamish Marshall seem very happy to pick up singles and the occasional twos at the moment, taking five runs from Richard Pyrah's over.

At the midway point in their innings, Yorkshire were 136-2 before things started to crumble.
