Cheers Steph. Well, we've got a very different game on our hands to yesterday's run-fest between England and South Africa. The pitch is one big reason for that.

India will feel they can chase this modest total down, but as yesterday illustrated, to assume makes a fool out of both of us... or something like that.

I'll bet you one thing, Pakistan will wish they had a couple more spinners in their line-up.

Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik: “It was tough, but I scored some runs for the team. The pitch is not that easy and we have some runs to defend. I was thinking that if we can get 120 we will give them a tough time.

“We were not trying for big shots, but it’s not easy. We were just trying to place the balls in the gap, then hit the bad balls for boundaries.

"We’re not surprised at the amount of turn in the pitch. It’s not the curator’s fault, the weather is not in his control.”

"I think this could still be a testing score for India, just because of the grip and turn. Not sure it is enough but it could be competitive."

All done. An excellent last over from Bumrah. Pakistan only muster 118-5, but you wouldn’t trust this surface as far as you can throw it. India, who were spun out against New Zealand, face another chase on a turner.

  7. Pak 117-5published at 17.5 overs

Run to the keeper! Dhoni misses. One bye.

  8. Pak 116-5published at 17.4 overs

Mohammad Hafeez, at seven the lowest he’s ever batted in a T20 for Pakistan, twice hacks into the leg side. Two, then a single.

  9. Pak 113-5published at 17.2 overs

Jasprit Bumrah looks for the yorker and is hit down the ground for a single first ball. From the second, Sarfraz can only mis-time a slower ball for another single.

"This is a big over now for Pakistan. They will feel like they have missed out. They need a couple of boundaries at least."

  11. Pak 111-5published at 17 overs

India haven't bowled their yorkers well today, serving up plenty of full tosses that are easier to hit, especially on this iffy pitch. A Nehra full bunger is swept for four by Sarfraz. Last over coming up.

"I was thinking Pakistan might be squeezing to that 130 mark. He was still moving too much in that pull and he needed to be still and the ball got up on him. Now, 125 is a good score from here."

    Malik c Ashwin b Nehra (Pak 105-5)

India strike another crucial blow, the impressive Ashish Nehra returning to remove Shoaib Malik, who had played a very good hand. Looking for the pull, he top-edges to R Ashin at short fine leg.

  14. Pak 103-4published at 16 overs

Sarfraz Ahmed the new man. 12 balls to go.

"It was a solid catch from Dhoni, who held his shape, but it turned sharply off the pitch. That might just turn it back in India's favour again."

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.5 overs

    Umar c Dhoni b Jadeja 22 (Pak 101-4)

India needed that. The Umar Akmal-Shoaib Malik stand was starting to look very dangerous, but Ravi Jadeja has nipped in to remove Umar. Looking to cut, there’s a thin edge through to MS Dhoni.

  17. Pak 100-3published at 15.3 overs

Graeme Smith's got a point. India could have bowled at least 15 overs of spin, given the options in their side. Having said that, Jadeja returns and is swept for four by Malik. 100 up.

  19. Pak 95-3published at 15 overs

Jasprit Bumrah just oversteps, giving away a free hit, but Malik can only bunt it through the covers for a single. Malik, though, has looked good, stroking a low full toss through the covers, then whipping another full-bunger through square leg. Bumrah has lot the plot here. Pakistan have taken 28 from the past two overs.

And another! Same shot, different batsman, with Umar Akmal now giving it the long handle. 15 off the over.
