  2. Aus 50-5published at 14 overs

Ellyse Perry, the dual football and cricket international, is playing a lone hand for Australia here. Ponytail poking out of the back of her helmet, she pulls the off-spin of Amy Satterthwaite for four.

"New Zealand must have planned this the moment they were slated to play Australia in Nagpur. They've bowled 10 overs of spin out of 12."

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.0 overs

    Australia 30-5

Speak to soon, Mike! Bermingham bowls a ball with fantastic turn on it and despite the shuffle across from Blackwell she's beaten and the ball hits the off stump. The partnership is over and Australia are really up against it now.

  5. Halfwaypublished at 10.0 overs

    Australia 27-4

Australia will be thankful they are not all out after the start they made. They were 4-4 very early on but since then there's been a careful partnership between Ellyse Perry and Alex Blackwell. At this rate expect a total of only 50 or 60 runs.

  6. Boundarypublished at 8.0 overs

    Australia 17-4

Finally something to celebrate for Australia after their dreadful start. Kasperek bowls the ball to Blackwell, who is now settling her side down. It's swept away for four and Australia have their first boundary of the match.

  7. Australia 11-4published at 7.0 overs

Finally, things calm down a little for Australia. They've managed to gain seven runs since the last wicket, Perry on 6, Blackwell on 2. Meg Lanning targeted 140 before play started, what she'd give for that now!

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.0 overs

    Australia 4-4

Wow! Australia are showing exactly how not to play Twenty20 here. Erin Osborne plays for a bit of turn and the ball sneaks away to get the outside edge, and is caught by wicketkeeper Rachel Priest, again it's Kasperek bowling.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.2 overs

    Australia 2-3

It's a disastrous start for the Aussies. Captain Meg Lanning is run out by a mile. The ball was knocked to mid wicket but hesitation sees her sent packing.

  10. wicket

Oh dear Australia. This time it's the second opener to go as Alyssa Healy walks back to the pavilion. Caught again by Tahuhu in a similar mid-on position. Disaster for Australia.

It's nice and sunny in Delhi this morning with play getting under way at 10:00 GMT. Although some games in this tournament have been hampered by rain, so far both these teams have played full 20-over matches, and we expect more of the same today.
