"Much better from Coulter-Nile. Dhawan handed out some punishment earlier but that one rushed him. Australia really needed that breakthrough."

Big wicket! Dhawan had shown just how dangerous he can be but he's back in the sheds now, mistiming a short ball and looping a top edge to short third man. The only problem for Australia is, now Kohli's in.

Good recovery from Hazlewood, just two off the remaining four balls. Pretty even start, but Australia need wickets...

"That's a painful one for the bowler. That was a decent delivery but Dhawan got right under it. It's not a big heave, he's timed it to perfection. It sounded absolutely beautiful coming off the bat."

  6. 6 runs

    Ind 16-0published at 2.2 overs

Sensational from Dhawan - length ball and he flicks it majestically off his toes for a huge six over square leg!

Nathan Coulter-Nile from the other end. All the Indian dignitaries are in tonight - even the Governor of Punjab has got the day off. Hope he's left someone in charge. Nice line from NCN, leg-stumpish, and the Indian batsmen can't do much with it - just a pair of singles.

    Pakistan 35-5 (6.5 overs) v England - target 149

Pakistan are five down in Chennai - spinner Laura Marsh, who's only just joined the squad in place of the injured Danielle Hazell, has picked up a couple of scalps, with Nat Sciver also in the wickets.

England motoring towards the semi-finals - they'll be playing Australia in Delhi on Tuesday, just before their male counterparts take on New Zealand at the same ground.

"It doesn't get any better than that shot from Dhawan. Ah, man, that is beautiful. There's been talk about the pitch slowing down but I have a sense the first few overs could be pretty nice for India. Australia are going to have to bowl tight to keep these guys in check."

Sharma taps the first ball into the leg side for one. Over to Shikhar Dhawan. His piratical moustache has been slightly trimmed, but his attacking instincts haven't - he begins by stroking a silky cover drive that races to the boundary.

"After the powerplay I thought Australia could have batted India out of the game. But the home side tied things down with some excellent bowling. We heard the pitch is starting to slow up, so let's see how India go about it."

    Pakistan 26-2 (3.4 overs) v England - target 149

Pakistan have to go hard or go home - needing to win in 18.1 overs or fewer to deny England on net run rate. Opening bowlers Katherine Brunt and Anya Shrubsole have a wicket apiece already.

In the two previous games in Mohali, the side batting second has made 158 and 172. Tight. But India will be confident, because they've got Virat Kohli - who averages a frankly indecent 83 in T20 international chases...

How crucial could that Nevill cameo at the end be? 10 off two balls - he'll be knocking on Darren Lehmann's door asking for a move up the order. A six off the final ball - just like Mitch McClenaghan and Ben Stokes in yesterday's games. They both ended up on the winning side...

Thank you Stephan. A real Boat Race of an Australia innings there - started off at a roaring pace, almost sank without trace in the middle, but somehow managed to keep going and cross the line of a decent total.

Will it be enough against a India line-up bristling with top-quality batsmen though?

    Put that calculator away...

The Crickether website has crunched the numbers. If Pakistan chase down 149 with 11 or more balls to spare, they will eliminate England on net run rate.
