India all-rounder Hardik Pandya: "The ball is coming nicely onto the bat. I still feel like I could have not given way those runs in the last over but 160, I think we can get it. Partnerships will be key, a good foundation in the powerplay and we have players who can finish the game, so that will be the plan."

"Peter Nevill made it look easy, he comes in for two balls, hits the first for four and then smashes a six. But those last few overs of tight bowling, I sense it could leave this one nice and open for India to win."

Finished with a six! A clean hit over long-on! Nevill and Watson exchange glove love, then jog off. How important might that be? Australia have reached 160-0. Game on.

  5. Aus 154-6published at 19.5 overs

Clever from Peter Nevill. Move, shovel, flick for four.

Peter Eastwood: There's something truly delicious about watching Australia bottle this the day after England held their nerve to qualify.

  7. Aus 150-6published at 19.4 overs

Single down the ground. It's taken Australia 15 overs to score 100 since they reached their first 50 in 22 balls.

"A much-needed boundary. Watson flailed everything at it and got that outside edge."

Outside edge for four. Silence in Mohali.

"You'd back Faulkner to hit this but it didn't quite come on. India are keeping their squeeze on the game - and another dot ball."

James Faulkner sinks in the deep. Downtown, not big enough, into the hands of Virat Kohli at long-on.

"India's bowling really has been excellent. The first few Australia overs were explosive - Khawaja and Finch really cashed in - but since then the runs have dried up. If they can squeeze Australia to under 160, they will be feeling this is their game."

  15. Aus 145-5published at 19 overs

Still Australia swipe, but their timing has been worse than a broken clock. India jumping on everything in the field. The hosts are one more good over from a very chaseable target.

Richard Egan: This Bumrah fella. Didn't he used to harass all the good guys in Thundercats?

  17. Aus 142-5published at 18.3 overs

Bumrah shuffles in, an awful half-tracker to begin with being cut for four by Faulkner. A full toss is heaved into the leg side by Watson. The square boundary is so big it doesn't even reach the sweeper.

Ashish Nehra, the man who began the India turnaround, comes back for his final over, dipping into his box of tricks. Cutters, slower-balls, wide yorkers. Every dot cheered, Australia stalling. Only four singles from the over. It's been brilliant since the fourth over from India.

    England 148-5 (20 overs) v Pakistan

Charlotte Edwards has batted through the England innings for 77 not out from 61 balls, but Tammy Beaumont (37 from 26 balls) deserves a mention in dispatches for her part in an important opening stand.

Pakistan are going to have to make their highest T20 score of all time - and do it rather quickly - to deny England a place in the semis on net run rate.
