There really is some top biffery going on in Delhi, where the dodgy dance music tells us that England have hit another four. Milne too short, Hales on the hook.

Justin Wilson: Awesome batting by England so far. Fantastic to watch. Keep it going!

Theo Bowyer: Dare I say it... This game is won!

Remember, England's chase was made all the easier by a very good effort with the ball at the end of New Zealand's innings. Only 20 runs from the final four overs. Ben Stokes and Chris Jordan excellent. Stokes only the eighth man to take a three-fer in a World T20 semi.

"Why should Roy have all the fun? That is a glorious shot, it wasn’t really a slog."

    Eng 36-0 (target 154)published at 3 overs

Alex Hales has been a spectator so far, albeit with the best seat in the house. Now he comes to the party, shuffling to belt new bowler Mitchell McClenaghan over long-on for six. England are sprinting after this target. Expect come spin very soon.

"If you play like this you can quickly make mincemeat of a target, especially one around 150."

  8. Eng 23-0 (Roy 22 off 11)published at 2 overs

Roy's bat has the green marks of a man who has been spending a lot of time in the nets. If he keeps going like this, he'll have Kiwi blood on it too. He is swiping and slapping at everything, this time skying the ball into the Delhi night, taking two more to third man.

  10. Eng 21-0published at 1.3 overs

The pacy Adam Milne shares the new ball, but gets the same treatment. Short and wide, another cut for four. Jason Roy might get these on his own.

"There were eight exquisite runs in that over and eight horrible edgy ones."

  12. Eng 16-0 (0-4-0-4-4-4)published at 1 overs

England are off to a flyer, Roy's last boundary coming straight from the Kane Williamson manual. It's just a little guide behind square, past two diving fielders. England take more than 10% out of the chase in the first over.

"It was an ugly, horrible swipe but sometime in T20 you get that. Four runs!"

  14. Eng 12-0published at 0.5 overs

And again! It's a real hack from Roy, who runs his tattoos at Anderson. A horrible swipe really, but an inside edge to fine leg. Make that three! Cut, edge, four. If you're going to flash, flash hard.

Biff. Short and wide. Four. England up and running.

Roy on strike, another with his shirt untucked. Were they not admonished for this in junior cricket? Left-armer Corey Anderson with the new ball.

New Zealand huddle in beige on the boundary edge. The umpires appear, all in black. Alex Hales, not bothering to tuck his shirt in, is out of the dugout with opening partner Jason Roy. 20 overs between England at the World T20 final.
