Jesal Suchak: Crucial part of the innings. Less ones and twos, more big shots. With wickets in hand, India must be aggressive.

Jarleth Eaton: Kohli starting to move through the gears here. This will be 200+. Windies paying now for missing their run out chances.

"Dare I say it, down the track is Kohli going to be a bigger name than Tendulkar? Virat has more formats to play across."

  3. Ind 120-1published at 14 overs

I don't know what brings the bigger roar, Kohli cutting Benn for four, or the sight of Sachin Tendulkar on the big screen. When they show Sachin again, he wins hands down. These fans still want him to put the pads on and bat at number four. Awful hair, though. Like Velcro on a Lego man.

  4. Ind 109-1 (Rahane 36, Kohli 26)published at 13 overs

That's the first boundary for three overs, Rahane wristily whipping a full toss through square leg. Seven to go. India well-placed, but not sprinting away. The Windian death bowling is good. Nip and even a little tuck.

"I am trying to remember when Chris Gayle was fully fit at a tournament. Imagine what a player he would be if he had a body that could do whatever he wanted it to do."

  6. Ind 102-1published at 12.3 overs

Bravo to Kohli. The last time we saw that, Kohli should have been run out in bizarre circumstances. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it right here. Boundaries slightly dry for India, but Kohli brilliantly takes weight off the ball to dab and take two.

India are scoring at a reasonable lick, have wickets in hand, and still have Virat Kohli at the crease. The score predictor, so far about as reliable as mobile phone bought from Del Trotter, says 206. I'm not sure that would be beyond CH Gayle.

Carlos Brathwaite, the man with the name of a sprinter, back with his pacers, all long leg and pumped arms. It looks like a plan to bang the ball into the deck, with the Windies' ground fielding currently holding up very well. The leg side is stacked, Brathwaite going straight, five singles. Breathless stuff.

John Michael Poole: The West Indies will rue those two chances to snare Kohli. Going to cost them big time.

Malay Nemane: That Bravo over nearly gave me a heart attack! Calm down Kohli son.

  14. Ind 86-1 (Rahane 29, Kohli 10)published at 10 overs

It might do Kohli some good to watch from the other end for a moment. Rahane cuts Badree for a couple, then lets Virat have a go. All goatee and sweat, Kohli looks more composed, pulling for four. I've just seen another replay of the Bravo missed run out. Nearly everyone reading this would have hit the stumps from where he was. I say nearly everyone, because I know my mum reads. Hello, mum.

Is the pressure showing on King Kohli? He comes back for a second that was never there, diving in as Ramdin misses the ball, then he edges to third man for four. He punches the air, but he looks all over the show. 10 from a very eventful over.

What is Virat Kohli doing? Misses the free hit, and sets off. You can be run out off a free hit, Virat! Keeper Ramdin misses, bowler Bravo misses, the returning Kohli still out of his ground. What a let-off.

  20. Ind 68-1published at 8.2 overs

Dwayne Bravo, a human box of tricks with half a goldmine around his neck, is on with his mediums. Hello, it looks like a plan to bowl short to Kohli. Two bouncers, Kohli complaining about the second. The umpires relent, no-ball and free hit. Darren Sammy is livid...
