It's a good total, but very gettable if West Indies' key players get in. With the bowling attack England have got, they're going to be very capable of protecting that score. Perhaps it might swing a little more than in the first two games.

  2. Hartley to have Windies in a jam?published at 19:24

Left-arm spinner Alex Hartley was superb in the second match on Monday, taking 4-31 in West Indies' 148. You feel that the 23-year-old and pace bowler Katherine Brunt will be key for England.

Thanks, Mark. It's not been a chaser's game so far in this series. Have England got enough with their 220 or will they pay for faltering in the final five overs when 230-plus seemed likely?

And it's going to be Alan Jewell to retake the live text helmsman's chair...

Remember, to listen to TMS, you'll have to click the audio icon at the top of this page - as 5 live sports extra has switched to rugby union.

  5. Be back soon...published at 19:00 British Summer Time 14 October 2016

We're just going to take a break for a little while - we'll be back for the start of the Windies innings, which we think will be around 19:20 BST.

I have to back England because they batted very well. The rotation of the strike was key to getting the score. It is extremely hard to score boundaries on this outfield and England have a very experienced bowling attack. You'd like to think if they were under the pump, they'd be able to react to that.

As I mentioned earlier, BBC Radio 5 live sports extra's airwaves are shortly to be hijacked by rugby union, for commentary on tonight's European Champions Cup tie between Glasgow and Leicester, where the build-up starts at 19:00 BST. (You'll still be able to follow the West Indies innings online - via this very page).

Before that, TMS will be hearing from Jim Maxwell, their regular Aussie commentator who speaks about the stroke he suffered while broadcasting during the Olympics. Thankfully, Jim seems to be on the mend - and you can listen to him speaking to ABC's Quentin Hull.

West Indies will have to bat well to chase down this score. A lot rests on Stafanie Taylor.

  11. Postpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 14 October 2016

So, a curate's egg of an innings from England. When they were good, they were very, very good - Lauren Winfield gave them a good start, Natalie Sciver played a very mature knock in mid-innings - but again they seemed prone to wickets falling in clusters towards the end of the innings.

Lydia Greenway on TMS thinks England, all things considered, would have taken 220 if they'd been offered it at the beginning. Do you agree?

  12. Azhar hits triple centurypublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 14 October 2016

In other cricket news, Azhar Ali has become just the fourth Pakistani to make a Test triple century after amassing 302 not out against West Indies in Dubai.

Hanif Mohammad, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Younus Khan are the others to achieve the feat. Decent company.

In only the second day-night Test (the first of a three-match series), Azhar, resuming on 146 after day one, hit 23 fours and three sixes as he reached his triple off 469 balls. And just to make it even more historic, this is Pakistan's 400th Test match.

Once Azhar got to 300, they declared at 579-3 and a presumably shattered West Indies have now started their reply.

England got into a good position in the 45th over and they probably missed out on 10-15 runs. But if you offered them 220 at the start of the day, I think they would taken it. It might have been 260 if the outfield had been quicker.

When West Indies bat, early wickets will be key and Stafanie Taylor will be key.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 49.5 overs

Gunn b Quintyne 7 (Eng 220 all out)

Gunn goes for another big hit - and is bowled. England lose their last wicket with one ball to spare in their innings. Who saw that coming when they were 185-4 after 42 overs?

  18. Eng 220-9published at 49.4 overs

Gunn sensibly steers a two, then lifts Quintyne over her head but safely, and it's two more.

England have done well, but it is important they take every run they can rather than giving it away and giving West Indies momentum.

  20. Eng 216-9published at 48.2 overs

Gunn whacks a single to long-off - and well played number 11 Alex Hartley, who gets bat on ball and gets her head down for a quick single.
