  1. Eng 153-6published at 40 overs

    Knight 51, Gun 5

Just the two singles and a wide as Dottin returns. The England run-rate is a modest 3.83 but how will the West Indies fare in reply? We shall see later.

  2. 50 runs

50 for Knightpublished at 39 overs

    Eng 150-6

The captain completes a hard-working fifty from 76 balls, her second of the tournament to go with her 106 against Pakistan.

Katherine Brunt was looking to be attacking but unfortunately that has brought about her downfall. It went between bat and pad. She didn't play for the turn and that was smart work by Marissa Aguilera behind the stumps. It has been a day when the top order haven't fired and probably not as much depth to the England batting today. When you look at their batting you would say they have one of the strongest line-ups - there have been so many hundreds from the top order - but maybe they wanted to look at a few more options in the bowling to get that balance right.

  4. Eng 147-6published at 38 overs

Fletcher finds the edge of Knight's bat as the captain pushes speculatively forward. It would have been a routine slip catch but there is not one in place and it trickles away for four to compound matters for the leg-spinner, who finishes with 3-33.

Brunt st Aguilleira b Mohammed 14 (Eng 141-6)

Brunt came down the wicket, the ball turned between her bat and pad and she was well out of her ground, allowing Aguilleira plenty of time to whip off the bails, which light up to illuminate the overcast skies as they fly off the stumps.

  6. Eng 139-5published at 36 overs

Just singles for England, four of them, but no boundaries. Fletcher the pick of the bowlers with 3-28 from her nine overs.

At Taunton, defending champions Australia are 183-4 in the 36th over against South Africa, golden girl Ellyse Perry still there on 32. The Aussies can still nick top spot.

    Charlotte Edwards
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

It's been a day of ups and downs for England. It started well, but there have been flurries of wickets and for the first time probably in this World Cup are having to rebuild the innings. It doesn't look easy at the moment with pace off the ball. I am slightly nervous with the running between Katherine Brunt and Heather Knight at the moment, though! Despite being in the semi-finals England will still be keen to win this game.

  9. Eng 135-5published at 35 overs

    Knight 42, Brunt 11

Knight struck on the pad again, this time by Mohammed, but they were right not to review this one, it was heading down the legside.

  10. Eng 132-5published at 34 overs

Knight makes no contact with a sweep at Fletcher but there is no review. Replays show it was ticking all three boxes and would have been out.

In the battle for the remaining semi-final place, India are 92-2 after 25 overs against New Zealand at Derby.

  12. Eng 130-5published at 33 overs

    Knight 39, Brunt 9

Mohammed has a jaunty hop at the start of her approach to the crease and Brunt has a skip of her own down the wicket to make it into a full toss. She does not time it properly though and it is only a single. Time for another drink. No-one is making them here though, sadly. And that chocolate doughnut is but a distant memory.

  13. Eng 128-5published at 32 overs

    Knight 38, Brunt 8

They gain one courtesy of a misfield as Knight sweeps Fletcher. The fielder slid in but went too far past the ball, cartoon-style and it clatters off her knee and over the ropes. Only the second boundary since the 13th over.

  14. Eng 123-5published at 31 overs

    Knight 33, Brunt 8

Two for Knight off Mohammed but still no boundary.

  15. Eng 118-5published at 30 overs

Fletcher still posing problems with her leg spin but Brunt collects two with a lofted drive. The elderly lady we saw earlier is also wearing batting inner gloves and a plastic poncho, it is quite the look, almost Vivienne Westwood-esque.

  16. Eng 114-5published at 29 overs

    Knight 28, Brunt 4

Make that eight overs without a four. Two singles in this one from Mohammed. What sort of target can England post here in these gloomy conditions?

  17. Eng 112-5published at 28 overs

Another full toss for Brunt, from Fletcher this time, and it is worked away for two but we have had seven overs without a boundary.

  18. Around the groundspublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 15 July 2017

Elsewhere, Australia are 120-2 at the halfway point against South Africa, India are 65-2 from 19 overs against New Zealand while Sri Lanka are 55-2 from 13 overs against Pakistan.

A quick reminder England are currently top of the points table and have already qualified for the semi-finals along with Austalia and South Africa. India and New Zealand are scrapping it out for the final place in the knockout stage.

  19. Eng 110-5published at 27 overs

    Knight 27, Brunt 1

Katherine Brunt is the new England batter, yet to make a half century in her 101 internationals and today would be a good time to start. The Barnsley bowler has a highest score of 45 not out and she gets off the mark by sweeping a full toss from Mohammed for a single.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 26 overs

    Wilson c Aguilleira b Fletcher 5 (Eng 105-5)

They were right to review, a clear bottom edge and it "Keeps Gettin' Better" for Aguilleira behind the stumps. (I am running out of these you will be pleased to know)
