There's nothing wrong with being short. Although it does mean I have to stand up [in the commentary box] to see the action.

    Target 219

The diminutive figure of Tammy Beaumont comes strolling down the pitch to new bowler Moseline Daniels, and barely has to move as a bouncer goes flying way, way above her head. That'll be a big ol' wide. It's a nice, tidy over before Beamount lets loose on the final ball, freeing her arms to work away a boundary to bring up England's 50.

    Beaumont 10, Taylor 4

Sarah Taylor is the new face at the crease, but she can only stand and watch at the non-strikers as Tammy Beaumont has a horrible swipe at a Khaka delivery. Taylor faces her first ball and drives it sumptuously away for four. That's a gorgeous shot to bring up her 301st run of the tournament.

I love those catches because everyone tends to just move away from the ball. Du Preez at point had to run in, gully and cover stood there saying "I don't want it", But I felt that shot was unnecessary - a new bowler on, just settle in and have a look at her. Lauren's not had a great World Cup.

Time for a change of bowler. Here's Ayabonga Khaka - and she's got a wicket! Lauren Winfield goes for the pull shot once again but she can't control it. A top edge goes spiraling high into the air and Mignon du Preez gets down on one knee at point to hold on to the catch. That's a really well judged bit of fielding from the former Proteas captain.

Here's the drop that might have done for Trisha Chetty, as she spilled a chance off Lauren Winfield with the batsman on five.

  7. Eng 41-0published at 8 overs

    Target 219

I'm not entirely sure what was wrong with Trisha Chetty. She didnt' seem to be limping as she headed up the stairs with her physio, but I wonder if she's done herself a mischief going for one of those wide deliveries. Marizanne Kapp continues, slip in place and Lizelle Lee behind the stumps now, and fires down a maiden.

I think the wheels are coming off for South Africa a little bit.

Four! Tammy Beamount swings her arms gratefully and whirls the second free hit away. And, to round off a fairly terrible over, keeper Trisha Chetty is being replaced! She looks to be struggling with some sort of injury, and Lizelle Lee has had to stick the pads on.

  10. Eng 35-0published at 6.5 overs

Here's the free hit, Winfield swipes it up into the air for a single - and that free hit itself is a no ball! It came through so quickly but the replay shows she's overstepped by some way. This time it's Tammy Beamount that gets a go at the free hit.

  11. Eng 35-0published at 6.5 overs

That's a cracking shot from Lauren Winfield! Ismail drops short again and the ball makes a delicious crunching sound off the bat as it gets thumped down to mid-wicket. There's no in-between for Winfield at the minute - she either looks really comfortable or really awkward. Ismail responds with a good, full delivery that Tammy Beaumont inside edges past her stumps. Hello, and now there's a free hit coming up, as Ismail sends down an almighty no ball...

Kapp has one of the best actions in the game. She's so athletic in the crease.

  13. Eng 28-0published at 6 overs

Here's Marizanne Kapp, bowling a much tighter line, and England work singles here and there to keep the score ticking over. She gets plenty of movement and Winfield, watchful, gets in line.

Here's that four from Lauren Winfield from the second ball of the innings:

  15. Eng 25-0published at 5 overs

Shot! That's better from Winfield. Short, banged in from Ismail, and Winfield quickly gets on top of the bounce to lash the ball to the ropes. Ismail huffs and readjusts her line, and Winfield steals a single off the final ball.

Winfield played a big swipe and it hits the keeper's fingertips as she dived to her right. It was a very wide chance.

Kapp is bowling with some good pace though. She's bowling at about 72mph now, similar to Katherine Brunt.

And, after dropping a dolly, Trisha Chetty lets a wide delivery fly through her gloves and away for four byes. She gets a volley from Marizanne Kapp in response.

    Eng 14-0

Ooft! Marizanne Kapp gets a delivery to hoop past Lauren Winfield's attempted push forward, the ball swinging away. And that's a drop! Trisha Chetty, diving to her right, can't hold on to an edge from Winfield. Hard hands from the batsman, a swipe at a wide delivery, and Chetty gets just fingertips on it before the ball tumbles down to third man. This has been an excellent over and that should have been a wicket.

If you think of Jason Roy when he didn't go through a good run of form, you knew he was a class act, and it's the same with Lauren Winfield. If she and Beaumont are firing, England will go really well.

  20. Eng 10-0published at 3 overs

Ismail continues, a slip in place, and a lovely off-cutter beats everyone and flies away for four byes! That's a belting delivery - Winfield, playing away from her body, missed with her attempted swipe and the ball just nipped past off stump, beyond a tumbling keeper, and away to the ropes. Ismail is such a clever bowler, with ace and variation at her fingertips, and she fires down a tidy over.
