Welcome to day five of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG in Melbourne.

Australia will resume on 103-2, trailing England by 61 runs, with David Warner 40 not out and captain Steve Smith unbeaten on 25.

England will need to remove one or both of them early on to set up a push for victory and make the series 3-1.

I had a dream that James Anderson took a hat-trick, but can't remember the batsmen involved. It's one of the side effects of becoming nocturnal.

After the rain brought an early end to proceedings on day four, Australia will be looking to bat out for a draw.

That's what you've told your friends and family. But really, it's because the cricket is on.

And - whisper it - England are on top.

More power to you if you are out tonight - just make sure your phone is charged so you can keep checking in on this live text for the score.
