Trent Boult has got a great eye. I've seen him hit sixes before off South African bowlers. He can get cleaned out as well, though, because he shows the stumps to the bowlers.

Boult gives himself room and swipes it high back over Broad before the ball plugs and is pulled in before it hits the ropes.

He then dances across and back across his stumps but ends up missing it.

Marc Sepetowski: If you're going to bowl short to Boult... You need a third man in place.

    Thomas Leonard: STOP. BOWLING. SHORT.

Mart: Cannot work out how we get NZ nine wickets down and start bowling short!

That's the shot Trent Boult will be pausing on the highlights reel tonight.

Shot! Trent Boult leans back and whacks a length ball through the covers for four.

Pretty ordinary cricket from England and they're losing their lead rapidly.

Wood, round the wicket, slides it into Wagner's pads. Appeal - nothing doing, likely going down.

Does that mean even more short stuff?

These are important runs for New Zealand. At what point will England start to feel like they've missed an opportunity?

I'm not an expert, but when bowling against tail-enders who are moving about all over the place, shouldn't the stock delivery be a yorker on the stumps?

They scattered on the grass bank when Neil Wagner played that shot. It's a bit of a top edge, but even so, it's very well played!

Anderson bangs it in short, Wagner ends up playing a hook shot on one knee but gets plenty on it and the ball flies away over fine leg for six.

Frustration for Anderson as Wagner's wild swipe flies over the slips for four. That's the 250 up for New Zealand.

James Anderson continues after drinks and finds the edge of Neil Wagner's bat straight away but the ball falls short of gully and runs away for two.

England had a huddle around the drinks - Stuart Broad is demonstrating some very extravagant hook shots to Joe Root.
