Well done third umpire Paul Reiffel. Mark Stoneman was right, he told James Vince straight away it had only hit him on the shoulder.
His heart will have been in his mouth for a moment though. How big a moment is that in his England career?

Mark Stoneman survives!
That's a good review by Stoneman but I can see why Bruce Oxenford gave it out. There was quite a woody noise as it went through to BJ Watling. Stoneman knew, though. He pointed to his shoulder before reviewing.

If the third umpire looks at this and stays with the on-field decision, then he's in cloud cuckoo land.
There's not a flicker on snicko as the ball goes past the gloves.

Stoneman is right! It has gone past the outside edge of his bat and come straight off his shoulder.
It was short from Wagner and it seemed to climb on Stoneman.
It looks as though it's hit his sleeve.

Mark Stoneman has pointed straight to his shoulder. I think this has hit his glove as well.
Hello, is Mark Stoneman gone?
He's been given out caught behind off Neil Wagner, but he's reviewed it straight away...

A good delivery from Sodhi, getting Vince playing and beating him with a bit of dip.
Vince 37, Stoneman 34
There's a brief huddle for the Black Caps - Ish Sodhi and Kane Williamson are joined by Tim Southee and Neil Wagner for a little tete a tete.
Sodhi spins one into Mark Stoneman's pads, but an inside edge gets Stoneman out of trouble. James Vince is then encouraged into a horrible drive that somehow manages to miss the ball.

Peter: Cricket authorities can now admit central contracts don't work. Players need state/county cricket to find match form, fitness & enjoyment, while maybe not giving the full "110%". What we saw in Australia this week was not the reaction of two grown men at the top of their game.
Neil Wagner pushes a bouncer across Mark Stoneman, who ducks out the way, before a leading edge runs between slip and gully for a single.

cufcfan616: Vince and Stoneman play some beautiful shots and then get out without making big runs. But what can you expect when they have Mark Ramprakash coaching them, when his Test career was exactly the same?

This is good from Jame Vince and Mark Stoneman, milking singles here and there and not allowing Ish Sodhi to settle.
Four runs come off the over as the two drive and nurdle their way through six deliveries.

Do you know what Coney means? It means rabbit. Not the best name for a batsman.
Mark Stoneman plays his way through a very tidy maiden by Neil Wagner.

If Latham had seen it early and taken a couple of paces in, that could've been out.
Close again! That was nearly a horrible dismissal for James Vince, pulling an Ish Sodhi delivery just inches in front of the fielder at deep square leg.
Vince is safe for the time being, though, and he celebrates by carting a wide delivery through the covers for four.

And on cue, Vince nearly nicks that one to slip.
