    Bairstow c Kuldeep b B Kumar 28 (Eng 126-5)

Short, slapped around the corner - and gone!

Jonny Bairstow has almost mirrored Virat Kohli's dismissal earlier today. He tries to help a short ball over his shoulder and ends up guiding it low to Kuldeep Yadav, who is loitering in front of the boundary at fine leg.

  2. Watch: Dhawan takes stunning catch to dismiss Morganpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

A catch and a half from Shikhar Dhawan.

Just when England needed to be calm, Bairstow has played really smartly.

    Need 23 from 18 balls

I'd honestly quite like a camera on Virat Kohli at all times, just to catch his reactions to everything. He's always so animated.

That's a fine over from the England batsmen, working the final few deliveries calmly for singles.

That was a little bit more worrisome for Jonny Bairstow.

    And again!

Another sweep, this one flying higher into the Cardiff sky, and it drops well over the boundary rope. Virat Kohli, fielding down there, is absolutely fuming.

It was a googly and it spun into the middle of the bat. That is an outrageous strike!

That is a massive shot - that has gone two-thirds of the way up the grandstand. He has walloped it.

  9. 6 runs

    Eng 117-4published at 16.2 overs

    Need 32 from 22 balls

Jonny Bairstow's done with prodding about at Kuldeep Yadav. Six!

It's full from the spinner and Bairstow bends his knee and absolutely smokes a sweep shot up into the stands.

Virat complaining to the umpire - he does that too much. That annoys me massively.

  11. Eng 110-4published at 16 overs

    Need 39 from 24 balls

Shortish from Hardik Pandya, and Jonny Bairstow whacks an upper cut through square for two.

Yorker length and Bairstow, almost doing the splits as he stretches to reach the ball, digs it out for a sneaky run. A fielder throws down the stumps but the square leg umpire says it's not out. Kohli's not happy that it's not going upstairs for a review, but Hales is in by miles.

  13. Eng 106-4published at 15.3 overs

    Need 43 from 27 balls

Hardik Pandya is back on, and Jonny Bairstow ducks underneath a bouncer.

Short, again, and Bairstow pulls it into a deep where a Yadav misfield allows them to nab two runs.

Can we have our ball back, please?

  15. Eng 103-4published at 15 overs

Jonny Bairstow and Alex Hales content themselves with punching a few singles here and there, playing the left-armer safely off the back foot.

    Four from the over.

A punch back down the ground from Jonny Bairstow gets him a couple as England take seven runs from the over.

Shikhar Dhawan was coming in, so he had to time the jump to perfection. That is a vital breakthrough - now to cash in on that.

Honestly, just make time to have a look at that catch. Terrific stuff.

Jonny Bairstow is the new man in, and a poor bit of fielding allows him to nick two from his first ball.
