They've got Vijay, Dhawan, Rahul and Rahane.

Kohli is the one England really want. And they got very close...

  2. Ind 69-4published at 23 overs

    Target 194

Anderson errs for the first time in ages, sliding it towards leg and Ashwin flicks it round the corner to keep the strike.

  3. Ind 68-4published at 22.5 overs

Ravichandran Ashwin has four Test hundreds.

But you need to be different gravy to play James Anderson in this situation, in these conditions.

Anderson zips two balls in a row just past the outside edge.

  4. Ind 68-4published at 22.1 overs

Kohli takes a single off Anderson.

    Five balls at Ashwin?

  6. Ind 67-4published at 22 overs

And that's perhaps why. Ashwin drives Curran away through the covers for four. Fine shot.

    Well then.

India have sent out Ravichandran Ashwin instead of Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya at number six.

    Rahane c Bairstow b Curran 2 (Ind 63-4)

Sure enough, Jonny Bairstow completed a clean catch to remove Ajinkya Rahane.

Far from Sam Curran's best ball, but it gets Rahane flaying recklessly outside off, nicking it off the bottom edge.

It's a fine low catch by Bairstow, who gives Rahane what can only be described as a death stare as he finally leaves the field.

I don't think Bairstow was too impressed that the Indian batsman doubted him there.

There is obviously glove under the ball.

    This will be out.

Bairstow is absolutely convinced it carried.

  13. Third umpirepublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 3 August 2018

Ajinkya Rahane flashes at one, it catches the bottom edge and Jonny Bairstow takes the catch.

Sam Curran runs away in delight.

Rahane isn't sure it has carried though and the umpires send it upstairs.

    Soft signal is out.

Virat has definitely got rid of his demons in terms of dealing with swing.

  15. Ind 63-3published at 21 overs

    Target 194

James Anderson continues to tempt Virat Kohli with the outswinger.

The India captain is equal to it for now, playing out an accurate Anderson maiden.

That struck Virat Kohli's front pad then his back thigh, but even his back leg is about a foot outside the crease. The ball just had too far to go. Excellent bowling by Sam Curran.

Kohli taps a single to deep square.

It was worth the review. The ball did all of the right things. It just bounced too much.

    Pitching in line.

    Impact in line.

    Wickets... missing.

So close. But Virat Kohli was such a long way down, the ball was bouncing just over the stumps.
