  1. Ind 101-5published at 30 overs

    Min 10 overs remaining

Maybe it will all happen on 101 this time?

Ben Stokes raps Dinesh Karthik's pads with a big inswinger. Huge appeal. Not given.

Karthik got a big stride out to it. That hit him outside the line of off-stump.

England wisely opt against the review. Karthik was playing a shot at that one.

  2. Ind 100-5published at 29.4 overs

India reach 100 with a leg bye.

About a Test match worth of action happened when they were 100-5 in the first innings...

A bit of sting seems to have gone out of England. There is a bit of a partnership developing here. Once the target gets under 100 it seems a little bit closer for the chasing side.

England need to avoid running up and not trying to get Kohli out. You have got to be on it every ball to both batsmen. England might have slightly just done that mentally.

  4. Ind 99-5published at 29.2 overs

    Target 194

Virat Kohli continues to chip one off the total and get off strike.

Dinesh Karthik again gets a thick outside edge on one and it runs along the floor to Keaton Jennings, making a stop at third slip.

  5. Ind 98-5published at 29 overs

Next man in Hardik Pandya has got his headphones in and is dancing away in the India dressing room. Shows he's relaxed but that footage might come back to haunt if he gets a first-baller tonight.

He spots the cameras are on him, smiles, and reins in his moves a tad.

  6. Ind 98-5published at 28.5 overs

    Target 194

Dinesh Karthik plays at one far from his body, the ball catches a thick edge and runs away past third slip for four through vacant third man.

England need a fourth slip or a third man in. Starting to concede runs and perhaps miss out on chances through there.

And here is Stuart Broad, replacing James Anderson.

Can England grab just one more wicket before the close?

    Imagine if it was Kohli...

I can't see a time when Rashid is going to bowl. As long as Kohli is at the crease, you can't bowl him.

  9. Ind 94-5published at 28 overs

Virat Kohli sees off the rest of Ben Stokes' over.

    Stuart Broad is warming up.

    He did this earlier...

  11. Ind 94-5published at 27.3 overs

Dinesh Karthik taps a single - India need 100 more runs to win.

Karthik looks up for it. He might be slightly miffed that Ashwin was promoted above him in the order.

  13. Ind 93-5published at 27.2 overs

Shot! Dinesh Karthik drives on the up and it races away for four.

That's his first boundary in the Test match.

Ben Stokes looks a little peeved.

How long will James Anderson stay on?

He'll want to keep going to try and add to this scalp of Ravichandran Ashwin...

  16. Ind 89-5published at 27 overs

    Target 194

Anderson can't get Kohli playing until the last but it's a solid defensive shot by the India captain.

  17. Ind 89-5published at 26.3 overs

Anderson goes too straight and Karthik flicks it to deep square leg for one.

    Three balls at Kohli?

  18. Ind 88-5published at 26.1 overs

Virat Kohli is content to take a single off the first ball of each over and trust Dinesh Karthik to survive.

    Can he?

Dale Webb: I kid you not! It’s happened again!!! Every time I check the score a wicket goes down! Need to work out how I get Kohli though...

  20. Ind 87-5published at 26 overs

Dinesh Karthik's inside edges it away square.

James Anderson sets off in pursuit and does well to keep it to two.
