India need one wicket to win
Now the sun comes out. Rashid blocks Shami solidly. The India quick bowls Rashid a bouncer but he has plenty of time to sit back and guide the ball to backward point. What's all the fuss about?

There's a week before we get to Southampton. I can't believe they could play Ashwin if it was in a couple of days.
Rashid 32, Anderson 8
Runs! Adil Rashid first turns down a single but upon realising there's actually two there he's off. Ravichandran Ashwin runs after the ball like a pensioner who is waiting for a hip replacement. India's best spinner looks severely hampered. It's on!
Kohli has tossed the ball to Mohammed Shami. How will Adil Rashid play this?

Matthew Swallow: I think no one expects this to last more than 4/5 overs maximum. If so they should just have a unofficial fun 20/20 and entertain the crowd who actually turn up. The players would enjoy having no pressure and a bit of fun.
India need one wicket to win
It's overcast at Trent Bridge and there's a bit of swing. Anderson gets a couple of bouncers and then has a swish at a wide one from Pandya. He survives the over. A minimum of 89 more to go...

Darren in Ringstead: Rashid & Anderson to both make a ton!!!!!
I'm sure I've just heard Andrew Samson boo from here. Anderson survives the first ball.

There are quite a few people here, I'm surprised. There are as many here for one wicket as you might see for the first day of a Test match in the Caribbean, I'm sorry to say.
There's a smattering of spectators in the stand but not too many have taken up the offer of a free ticket.
Jerusalem sounds a little echoey as it finishes.
Hardik Pandya will be the man to bowl the opening over.
India need one wicket to win
It's almost time.
Jimmy Anderson will be facing the first ball.
Statisticians all over the world hold their breath. Could it be over in one ball?

John Etheridge from the Sun: "I think Cook and Jennings will survive the next Test and probably the rest of the series."

Joseph: Day five will last for 80 overs, both batsmen to get centuries, with the final winning runs coming from a massive six from Jimmy.
Tom Bacon: Day five will last longer than you think! Time to get ready for another Jimmy half century... His 81 was against India at Trent Bridge in 2014- same again today!
BBC Test Match Special
John Etheridge from the Sun: "Some of the shots England played yesterday were extraordinary. Ollie Pope, a young guy, you just can't play like that in Test cricket. He's not going to have a Test career if he plays like that."
BBC Test Match Special
Will MacPherson from the Evening Standard: "I think they will make a call on Jennings, the word is he has not got the foot movement or the sprightliness to survive at this level and he looks like a walking wicket."
BBC Weather's Simon King: "It's not going to rain. There will be a lot of cloud, warm and humid. The cloud will break up and there will be sunny spells developing, but that will be later this afternoon when I suspect no-one will be there."

There has been a lot of debate about ticket prices for today over the last 12 hours.
Nottinghamshire originally said they were charging £10 for a day which could last one ball and once a ball was bowled no refunds would be given.
They received a lot of criticism on social media for that stance and have since changed their minds and will allow spectators in for free today. Anyone who had already bought a ticket will also be refunded.
If you're in the area, get yourself down!
Cheers Ged.
