    Well now. That one spun.

But KL Rahul does well to rock back and push it away for a single. That's the 50 up for India.

Ah. No turn for Moeen Ali earlier, so he's going to have a go from the other end...

KL Rahul has been flaying his way back into form in this Test...

  4. Ind 49-3published at 15 overs

Just one leg-bye off Ben Stokes' first over.

Even the wildest of parties peter out.

Only three overs remaining in the day.

Ben Stokes is on. Not much was happening for Moeen Ali on this pitch, certainly little turn.

  6. Ind 48-3published at 14 overs

    Target 464

Sam Curran works his way through five accurate dot balls.

The last is also a dot but is a wicked delivery, holding up on the angle and just about fizzing past Ajinkya Rahane's outside edge.

A fine maiden from the young gun.

  7. Ind 48-3published at 13 overs

Oooh. KL Rahul tries to late cut Moeen Ali and the ball deflects down off an inside edge, just evading the stumps.

That's better, Rahul reverse sweeping to the fence for four.

Bought a ticket for my first ever day at a Test match five months ago. Two weeks ago, got notified of an operation that has been put off for two years. Today.

Was under general anaesthetic for Cook's century.

It’s lovely listening to TMS, but not quite the same as being there.

  9. Ind 42-3published at 12 overs

Sam Curran is finding some shape back into KL Rahul, who is defending with the full face of the bat.

The India opener will be wary of the one that nibbles away, which saw him bowled in the first innings.

Curran goes too far into the pads and Rahul pushes into the leg side, taking a quick single to Adil Rashid.

The last is wide and Ajinkya Rahane slashes it out square but Jos Buttler does well, diving to prevent the run.

    Target 464

A slip and a short leg in for Moeen Ali.

Nothing too dangerous from his first over though and Ajinkya Rahane just takes a single to point from the first ball.

James Anderson knows he'll have the chance to surpass Glenn McGrath tomorrow.

The Lancashire man is out of the attack after a superb opening spell of 5-2-23-2.

Those two wickets took him level with McGrath on 563 Test wickets - the fourth-highest of all time and most by a fast bowler.

    Moeen Ali enters the fray...

England need seven wickets to win

Stuart Broad sends down a big inswinger but KL Rahul's eye is in and he whips it through mid-wicket for three.

    He's now scored 30 of India's 40 runs off just 32 balls.

Plenty of conversation between overs involving Moeen Ali but England's premier seamers are staying on for now.

Stuart Broad continues into his fifth over...

  16. Ind 36-3published at 9 overs

    Target 464

Swing on offer for Anderson as Rahul wisely pulls his bat out of the way.

  17. Ind 36-3published at 8.3 overs

And Rahul glances it through that gap where third slip would have been for four.

  18. Ind 32-3published at 8.1 overs

Well, KL Rahul won't die wondering.

The ball hoops away from him and he chucks his hands at it, edging over the cordon for four.

Oddly, England have taken out third slip.

    Alastair Cook is warming up.

I'm kidding - he's just been off the pitch for a bit and is coming back on with a helmet and shin pads. Time for Moeen Ali or Adil Rashid soon?

James Anderson still has the ball in his hand. Good luck getting it off him.

  20. Ind 28-3published at 8 overs

    Rahul 19, Rahane 8

Ajinkya Rahane stays balanced at the crease and just pushes it out through the covers for four. Lovely timing.
